Overview Relations Events

---

An overview of Monica's participation throughout various events hosted throughout Castrella's timeline. These encompass the Discord-hosted events hosted by Guild Administration.

Phoenix Fest 1230

In the weeks leading up to the Phoenix Festival, Monica confesses to Freyja Lest that symptoms of her whimsy corruption are worsening due to overwork and stress. In response, Freyja orders that Monica take a leave of absence for the duration of the event.

Whenever she is not resting, Monica spends most of her time during the month with Keldwyn Flannery wandering the festival grounds. She gets Kel a gift from Eleanor Valentine's pop-up shop, Eleanor's Knicks 'n' Knacks. She also drags her roommate Jaina Ryder out to the festival with her.

Monica also contributed to the miniature Phoenix Festival in the Valhalla Project set up by Odin Finch and Korin Altair, aiding in setting up and tearing down the assembly. She and Korin told the children of the project a myth about the origins of the Phoenix Festival together, complete with acting and costuming.

Midway through the event, the newly revealed Trainsportation System is commandeered and brought to life by Lil' Red. Knowing that she is supposed to be resting, Keldwyn sends Monica back to her dorm. Not one to stand by, Monica grabs her scythe and jumps into action, aiding in the subjugation of the rogue train with the use of her whimsy portals. The high-profile nature of the operation unfortunately results in Monica revealing her corruption to the guild. The size of the portal needed to move the train takes up a lot of her energy, worsening her symptoms and causing her to fall ill for a week. While she does recover, some of her skin rings do not disappear, causing her to worry. Additionally, Monica does not hear from Parvuli for some time after this event. Ella checks up on her after this event.

At the end of the event, Monica braves her fear of water and joins Kel on her Trade Division ship to launch fireworks.

St. Cleos 1231

Monica hosts the Outerworld Division Recruitment Booth with Jaina for St. Cleo's in 1231. While she doesn't attend other booths, she does take plenty of breaks.

During one such break, Monica runs into Haladen Kloe, while Parvuli is confronted by Kyouki, Pandora, and Havoc. During the course of the conversation, Haladen makes contact with Monica, and it comes out that Quill may have seen Parvuli. Haladen gives Monica an ominous warning before sending her off.

The Grand Gala

Monica attends the guild with Keldwyn, and spends much of the initial events squirreled away with her in the back halls where it is quiet and less populous.

After a spar with Odin on the Guild's Training Grounds during the festivities, Monica finds herself in the back halls of the castle. It's here where she, alongside Nelly, discovers that the castle's secret dungeon, the Heart of the Nail, has been breached. After gathering a party, Monica descends into the depths of the dungeon and faces its trials.

Towards the bottom, Monica encounters Quill. Parvuli begins this encounter by interrogating and verbally assaulting her. Enraged, scared, confused, and overwhelmed with new information about Quill's goals, Monica begs her to remove Parvuli from her in a moment of weakness. While Quill can do no such thing, she casts a spell that causes Parvuli to become sealed away for a period of about three weeks.

When Vestia appears, it becomes clear to her that Quill is here to steal something of great importance to the guild. Despite her growing weakness in the face of being disconnected from her pact, she turns on Quill in an effort to arrest her and secure the piece of Noan being held by Vestia. A fight ensues, and she is forced to contend with Vestia, River, and Aisling. She falls unconscious to Quill's mist and awakens later to report her findings to Headmaster Lumen.

She does not speak to anyone for a period of two weeks after the Gala.
