Castrella
The planet of Castrella, is your stereotypical high fantasy world that’s on the verge of a breakthrough regarding their magitech (magically infused technologies). It is also the home to many magical, and interesting beings. Some areas of note being known for the Adventurer's Guild, and its variety of races.
Castrella is filled with arcane energy, the unique life force that ebbs and flows within the planet. There are countless ways the world coexists and interacts with it. One of the most common and easily visible examples of the influence of arcance energy is its impact on the terrain and structure of the world. This can be seen in the many active corruption sites (a.k.a. "bubbles") within Castrella. Similarly, zones of highly concentrated aether see their climate heavily impacted by it.
Arcane energy is also responsible for the heavy amount of curses and pacts across Castrella.
The use of the arcane energy allow most beings to be able to harness an aspect, which unlocks the ability to manipulate the aether itself in different ways. Some beings can harness multiple aspects. The usefulness of aether to aspected beings shapes the foundation for civilizatin and various methos of spellcasting.
Countries
Within Castrella of course is a mulititude of different countries such as:
Eversun
The crossroads of Castrella being the literal central point of the world. Even though they have a monarchy, most of the structure of the country is entirely built through the Guild. The Guild itself has established itself into multiple places through-out Castrella, creating an almost spiderweb like system. The main output from Eversun is through the guild via quests. Quests in fact define Eversun itself being the main location where adventurers are born. If you wish to become an adventurer, this is the place to be!
Vyper
Located near the southern part of the world of Castrella exists, Vyper. Based on the American Wild West, Vyper is a country heavily influenced by a code of conduct. Driven both by survival & one's own grit, the residents of Vyper are as tough as nails. The Elders of Vyper, while highly respected, hold their position for a reason. Those who disrespect those Elders will be beaten senseless. The land itself is a dry desert with very little water to spare, though the flora & fauna like it that way. The notable landmark of this location is the Volcano, which hasn't erupted in 2,000 years.
Umito
Located towards the east is Umito. An Asian inspired country with its own city of layers nestled atop a sunken kraken claw in the middle of the ocean. Each city has their own district name that correlates to the depths of the water they relate to. Notably with the top being the Shallows that holds the fishing village. The notable landmark of this country is the kraken crab shell the country lives on top of.
Null
Null, a small island nestled near the country of Lazlø, is an interesting location. On the surface, the terrain is nothing special. It has a typical island structure, but as you arrive, you'd instantly become aware of a lack of Aether Production in your body. In fact, the material the island is made of has an Anti-Aether effect that causes all Magic to become inert. Due to this, the residents of the isle lack any ability to use Aether at all, but in exchange, are semi-immune to the effects & conditions of magic. This island has declared itself its own country for the purposes of trade, but many of the residents have mixed feelings on this.
