Kitori Kanna is an arctic fox Lesser Kindred with a very gentle disposition and lots of paperwork to process. She has been the Civil Affairs Division headmaster for almost 100 years.
Appearance
An average-height Kindred woman. Her documented height does not include her ears. Kitori has very long ice blue hair that travels down to her posterior with matching-colored ears and a large, fluffy, heavy tail. Her eyes are a cerulean blue that shimmer with kindness. She often wears bells with ribbons beneath her eyes that jingle while she walks. Her regular outfit consists of a poofy white dress, a brown corset with matching brown leather fingerless gloves, boots, and choker, asymmetrical layers of blue fabric over her dress, and pink accents. Her left ear is pierced twice and has many earrings within her arsenal. The Kanna family sure is pretty.
Personality
A very gentle and kind Kindred, Kitori spends her days wearing an exhausted smile. Very formal in her speech to coworkers and much more casual to friends, she can be considered sunshine on a rainy day, and has captured the hearts of many Guild employees. Her voice is soft and soothing, and her kindness and sympathy knows no bounds. When presented with work, however, she can completely shut off outside contact and tunnel vision into mounds and piles of paperwork to review in the Guildmaster's stead, especially when bills of law get sent to her desk. It wouldn't be an understatement to say she is one of the final checkpoints for laws to be passed, and it's all the more reason she appears stressed.
Biography
A Lesser Kindred born to the Kanna family in the northern regions of [pending]. Her family consists of her mother, father, and three older brothers. The Kanna family is naturally aspected to water, and has been for several generations, however Kitori was born with the mutated aspect of ice. This concerned her family greatly, as ice was nearly brand-new in discovery as an aspect. She was raised without magic training, unlike her brothers, and lived in a lot of mystery shrouding her ice aether. This caused a few accidents, as Kitori did want to attempt controlling her magic just like her family, but nothing major or life-threatening occurred.
Once Kitori turned 18, she traveled to Eversun City under the protection of her brother, Kouhei Kanna. They both enrolled in the Education Division Academy, and graduated in separate divisions. Kitori joined the Wayfarers’ Division as a support role, and actually ended up in a dedicated wayfaring party that stuck together for years. Their notoriety built up quite a bit for a few years, eventually raising their individual ranks and were able to take on the harder difficulty quests and dungeons.
After about two decades, Kitori’s party encountered an unfortunate accident. One of the dungeons they scoured ambushed them with a dangerous boss monster. They were so incredibly close to victory, to escaping the dungeon without harm befalling them…until the boss monster managed to catch up to the party. Her three party members were captured by the monster, and Kitori turned to her unstable ice magic as a last resort. Unfortunately, the lack of proper training and understanding about how volatile ice aether can be, Kitori ended up trapping the monster and her friends in an ice cave-in. The ice shattered and the dungeon closed up permanently, leaving Kitori alone in the end. With that grim situation engraved into her mind ever since, Kitori attempted to swear off most of her ice magic unless absolutely necessary.
After the incident, Kitori re-enrolled in the Education Division Academy to transfer to the Civil Affairs Division. She was under the impression that she wouldn’t need to use her magic in a more authoritative, government position, so she dedicated quite literally all of her time to working and studying Eversun City itself as a whole. Eventually, after a few more decades passed with her studies and brilliant work ethic, Kitori reached the top of the division as its headmaster. What Kitori didn’t understand upon promotion was the looming threat of becoming the cleanup crew and secretary of the Guild’s very own head of all operations, Pterra Whitt. Nowadays, Kitori can be found locked in her office or tidying up loose ends left untied by her boss…
