Education Division

The Education Division is one of the ten major divisions of the Adventurers' Guild. The written shorthand version is "EDU." Its uniform armband is a purple color, and the signature gemstone embedded into the star embroidery is an amethyst.

Overview

The Education Division is the smallest division in regards to pure employee count, however, it is the required ticket to enroll into the Adventurers' Guild fully. It's a collective product of all the knowledge encased by every other division and offers classes for every subject under the vibrant sun. This includes both inside and outside of Eversun City and encompasses the Education Division Academy and public schools.

The Education Division's department rests on the western side of the Hearth and is attached with a corridor to the Education Division Academy. For more information on curriculums required in order to become an Adventurer, please follow the page for the Education Division Academy itself.

Responsibilities

Education Division employees work tirelessly to provide schooling and proper instruction relating to surviving as either an adult in common society, or as an Adventurer beneath the Guild's roof. When it comes to the Education Division Academy, this is the division's busiest and most resource-dedicated area. One will see busy professors hosting lectures in their corresponding halls, running around with binders and backpacks filled with information, or simply grading papers in their offices.

Public schools in Eversun City are also managed by the Education Division, providing resources and collaborating with divisions such as the Civil Affairs Division and the Trade Division to properly fund and support the school districts, keeping them free of charge with only the highest quality education—as long as the students put in the effort, of course.

Known Subdivisions

Academy Board of Erudition (ABE)

The brains behind the Education Division Academy. This is more of the head honchos that keep the facility running behind the professors by approving budgets, setting policies, and direct operations and schedules. The ABE also consists of counselors and attendants that will meet up with rookies enrolling into the academy for the first time and assist them with their scheduling dependent on which division they'd like to graduate into. This subdivision does not include the general professor or teacher populace; they are entirely the "behind-the-scenes" attendants.

Academy Instructors

Everyone who teaches a class in the Education Division Academy. Self-explanatory within the name, introducing yourself as an Academy Instructor will tell someone you are highly knowledgeable in a single subject, and should be listened to in that area. Academy Instructors are highly intelligent, organized, and focused...usually. Not every instructor gets an office for themselves, and sometimes will even share a cubicle space with other instructors, but there are often places where they can grade their papers quietly or offer students office hours outside of regular lecture hours. The instructors have the opportunity to create their own curriculums unique to the classes they host, as long as it gets approved by the ABE. Just like the colleges we know and love, not every class is the same, it highly depends on its Academy Instructor.

Public Proceedings

The ones in charge of providing their own resources to the public school setting within Eversun City primarily. They do often assist with sending these resources to Guild Outposts and cities that are affiliated with the Adventurers' Guild, and any schooling professional that teaches curriculums outside of Eversun City would belong in this subdivision for now. Depending on the size of the metropolis involved, that city or town may have its own Academy Board of Erudition to better facilitate public schooling and the background duties which come from providing that scale of education.
