Contingency Division
The Contingency Division is one of the ten major divisions of the Adventurers' Guild. The written shorthand version is "CTD." Its uniform armband is a red color, and the signature gemstone embedded into the star embroidery is an ruby.
Overview
The Contingency Division is your services department. This includes health, safety, and other miscellaneous tasks that may not be categorized into the other divisions. Its purpose is to allocate resources to tasks that are required in the daily life of the city-goer. Some say that the Contingency Division has the highest authority in the Adventurers' Guild, as it's known for its allowance to request forces from other divisions in the blink of an eye and these will almost always receive approval from the other Headmasters. It is also both simultaneously the easiest and the hardest division to apply for, as its positions range from aetheric doctors renowned for curing any ailment to oddball jobbers that wander the city offering door-to-door technician services. While its description may make the Contingency Division appear to be a rather large-scale division by itself, it is actually quite on par with the average employee count of other divisions. The Guild does well with covering its bases and offering any position that would fit an individual graduating from the Education Division Academy, that it is actually quite rare they don't have a spot in another division that would cover unique bases. Overall, the Contingency Division is mostly made up of emergency services.
The headmaster of this division is three goblins in a trench coat, by the way.

Responsibilities
The Contingency Division is responsible for the general populace's health and security, almost similar to the Civil Affairs Division in a way. While the Civil Affairs handles setting the rules to protect the civilians, the Contingency Division is a reserve resource if these written rules are somehow broken or surpassed. These employees work tirelessly to ensure their clients are safe and sound. Employees of the Guild, no matter what division they are established in, will know a Contingency Division member very closely. They are not exactly the thread that binds the divisions together, but instead the bolts that make the scaffolding unable to topple. From hospitals to fire departments, the Contingency Division covers all even past the Hearth's walls. Every major municipality in Castrella will have a Contingency Division outpost at the minimum dedicated to better serving its population for what it needs to stay happy and healthy.
Known Subdivisions
On-Call
If you hear someone say they're "on call" in the Contingency Division, they're referring to their work in this subdivision. Is it the most creative name? No, but it's simple, succinct, and gets the job done. On-call workers are literally just that. They are always ready to be dispatched to somewhere outside of the Hearth, even outside of Eversun City itself. This subdivision is mostly made up of medical workers and work very closely with employees of every division. This is also where the Outerworld Division medics originate from, and on-call aetherological experts will often travel out to the bubbles of the world to standby for emergencies. While some may be primarily stationed at the Hearth, others may have other clinics they reside in, but will always be available for dispatch to where they are needed.
On-Site
As opposed to the On-Call workers, On-Site workers are the professionals who remain in the Hearth campus (or wherever they are stationed) near-permanently as reliable walls anyone can visit or be assigned to. They are typically the ones caged up in their offices (usually willingly) working nonstop with research and patients. On rare occasions, On-Site workers can apply to be temporarily On-Call when needed, whether it be for a period of time for all services or for specific services needed anytime. On-Site physicians are typically the ones employees will be seeing for regular health checkups. Medical facilities that are outside of the Hearth (such as clinics and outposts in other cities) are operated by On-Site employees, as typically the clinic is owned or operated by that individual or group. Guild-sponsored hospitals are also included in this subdivision.
Emergency Dispatch
This is a joint-operated subdivision with the Civil Affairs Division. This encompasses all emergency services such as firefighting, paramedics, really anything. The workers in Emergency Dispatch are highly trained professionals and masterfully educated. It's a role that requires seniority and does not accept any "new" faces unless proper experience is obtained through other roles within the Contingency Division. Emergency Dispatch employees and operators need to be fast, reliable, and able to retain memory of home addresses, respond on the fly, and remain calm during all situations.
