"The Creature" is an artificial human, the result of many experimentations by Lune Ra'Noria, Eida and Heresy. He is the amalgamation of multiple severed body parts of Castrellans. His body, held together by the power of Whimsy, is at war with itself, its multiple aspects threatening to tear him right open at any moment. Upon acquiring a head, he is given the name, "Leo".

Not to be confused with Leo Eridanus (General Cassiopeia).

Mun: Uno (364-Unbirthdays)

Appearance

It was originally nothing but a pile of discarded flesh. But someone saw potential in it. They sewed its innards together, pulled its muscles taut with meticulously-created bone, stretched peach skin over its skeleton frame, and tied it all up with pure white bandage. And then its individual parts began to reject each other. The Kindred and Featherfolk attacked each other viciously, its limbs threatening to dislodge at any movement. Its multiple aspects strained against the prison of its body, fighting over dominance, before the whimsy that coarsed through its artificial veins arrived to cannibalize them all. And then a touch of Law was added, and the entire body exploded violently, hurling bits of blood and flesh all over the dimly lit room.

"Oh, well. Maybe it'll work the next time!"

Its parts were gathered up, and the process restarted.

Before Discarding

A simple stitching of multiple body parts together. Often falls apart at the seams in various grotesque manners.

Experimentation Stage 1

"The Creature" did not have any consistent appearance during this stage as its body was constantly attempting to self-destruct. Though always made up of multiple parts from multiple corpses, the exact parts and species would differ day to day as Res struggled to keep its skin from sliding off and its parts from repelling against each other. It lacked a head but always possessed a neck.

Experimentation Stage 2 (Post-Stabilization)

"The Creature"'s current state.

His head, created by Eida, is that of a youthful young man with long, dark, purple-tinged brown hair and bright violet eyes with short lashes. His head can be attached and detached at will, causing him no harm. However, he requires a head in order to be able to see and speak. He generally wears his head, however, during experimentations, his head will be taken off so as to avoid damage.

The rest of his body is split into 17 different sections. Two sections, his left fingers and his left knee, are entirely crafted by Eida, while the rest formerly belonged to different people. The most notable sections are his left back, which belonged to a feathered Kindred, and his right back, which belonged to a member of the Featherfolk. As a result, while he possesses two wings, one is dramatically smaller than the other and often loses feathers.

The uppermost surface of his neck is completely flat. Visually, it appears to be a colorful, swirling pit off whimsy, constantly bubbling and threatening to spill over. When his body rejects itself, this pit of whimsy begins to melt his skin down from top to bottom, the whimsy overflowing and visibly turning his body into liquid. His head is connected to his neck via this Whimsy. If it is unstable, the neck itself may stretch into strange positions.

As the sections of his body that are not created by Eida are constantly at war with each other due to having multiple differing Aspects attached to them, they are bound tightly together by thick, white bandage. When rejection is absent or low, these bandages hold everything together, so that his form is that of a regular humanoid. However, when the sections begin to repel each other, the bandages unravel.'

Due to the high amount of whimsy in his body, the differing sections in his body may sometimes become fully corrupted and morph into monstrous forms. If corruption is too severe and inconvenient, the section is removed and replaced by a different one. The corrupted flesh always manifests in different forms without any rhyme or reason, as they reflect the corruption of the original body rather than "The Creature"'s.

Personality

Whatever you desire.

Before reaching Experimentation Stage 2, "The Creature" had no personality to speak of, simply being a reanimated corpse that could hardly be considered one of the living.

In his current state, he is conscious enough that he could be considered a living being, though it is currently difficult to call him a person of his own. He is extremely robotic and generally extremely clueless and naive about everything around him. He has no sense of distrust, and believes everything with childlike innocence. Through the influence of everyone around him, but mostly Res, he is slowly developing the ability to comprehend and feel emotions.

He will do everything he is told to do. He will feel anything and believe anything that he is instructed to.

(He does not "feel" like how regular humans feel. Instead, he attempts to comprehend, understand and define what each "emotion" is supposed to be, and "creates" it, so that he may feel it when asked to. It is not that he will feel or believe anything that he's instructed to, it is that telling him to act in a certain way will cause him to included the vague definitions of that emotion into his behavioral set and emulate/act out the emotions when needed. It is fundamentally not the same.)

Biography

"The Creature" was originally the failed experiment of Lune Ra'Noria, a simple stitching of multiple different body parts, each segment collected at random from her stash of corpses. As she could not find a way to keep its body from falling apart, she deemed it an abject failure, and offered it up to Heresy ("Res") for experimentation. Res accepted her offer with glee, however, his attempt to infuse aspects of Law into "The Creature"'s whimsy-addled body caused an extremely violent, explosive creation that tore its body into pieces.

Having fallen in love with the concept of "The Creature"'s existence- fallen in love with the idea of a creature that he could fully understand and fully control- Res sought to replicate it in his own time- a gross patchwork amalgamation of the corpses of Castrellans. He was adamant in keeping the multiple aspects that Lune had attempted to have coexist in its body, and figured that adding even more Whimsy- both into its skin and in the in-betweens of each section of flesh- would allow for the Whimsy to voraciously cannibalize the other aspects to the extent where the other aspects were too weak to fight against each other. With that figured out, he looked to finding ways that Law could be peacefully embedded into its body without causing such dramatic reaction.

After stabilization was more or less achieved, Eida gifted The Creature a meticulously sculptured head- one that he had to adjust a few times, but after some tweaks, it was ready for use. Upon acquiring a head, Res cheerfully nicknames him "Leo". And at that moment, something began to stir within him.

Abilities

"The Creature" is, in theory, able to use magic of every aspect due to his body possessing every aspect at once. However, in practice, this creates an extremely precarious instability. As a result, "The Creature" should currently be treated as though he possesses no ability at all.

Res hopes to be able to turn him into one of the most powerful creatures alive, able to command all aspect. But that day is very, very far.

Equipment

He possesses what the others give him. No more, and no less.

Relationships

Heresy ("Res")

"Aw. Look at you, you poor pathetic little thing. I can make you better. Don't you feel rage against the prison of this earth? Don't you want to burn the world away?" "...Yes. I do."

His word is law. In this world, there is no God. There are no People, no Lands.

"Don't you feel angry?"

I do not understand anger, but I feel it, because you say I do.

"Don't you enjoy these experiments?"

I do not understand enjoyment, but I feel it, because you say I do.

"Don't you think all the others are ungrateful, unambitious cowards?"

I do not understand what it means to be ungrateful, unambitious. But I believe so, because you say I do.

"Don't you want to burn this world to the ground?"

I do not understand that desire. But for you, I will. For you, I will ensure I see this place scorched and charred to a crisp.

A man who doesn't quite care for his personhood, his sense of self. A man whose heart throbs for the sack of flesh and bones that served as the building bricks of his body. A man who wants to make him his most prized possession, mold him into a creature more superior that even the mightiest of Dragons.

A man who is the embodiment of selfishness. Who, when he looks deep inside his eyes, sees only his own reflection.

But it doesn't matter.

When he looks in the mirror, he, too, only sees Res reflected from his eyes.

That is the way it should be.

That person who is not Res.

Others

Res loves them. Res wants to know everything about them. Res wants to control them.

So I "love" them. I "want" to know everything about them. I "want" them to be under Res' control.
