Eru mostly takes on quests posted by the Environmental Division, since they have a soft spot for nature and wildlife. Eru prefers to quest alone and is very good at picking things within their skill level. She has a high completion rate of quests and is often sought out personally for some jobs, despite her obvious aversion to people and terrible social conduct. She is rude, mean, and bit scary.

People who have been forced to quest with her, without fail, return with rather negative things to say about her. In the best cases, they have been described as "unpleasant to work with, but capable."

Body

Eru is a tall (by human standards) Elvaari woman with dark blue/black hair and olive skin. She has rather pointed ears, even for an Elvaari. Her eyes are pitch black. There is a large hole in her left hand.

Clothes

Due to her general apathy towards her appearance, her clothes are usually tattered. When an article of clothing becomes unwearable she will replace it, leading to her having mix of new and old looking clothes.

She prefers warm clothes and keeps most of her skin covered. At almost all times, she is wearing gloves and boots.

Biography

Eru was born dark aspected, to the dismay of their family and community. Having been raised in a relatively calm and quiet remote village of Elvaari, they were seen as an omen of destruction. Even her parents and siblings mistreated her.

This impacted Eru's personality pretty harshly. Having started as a relatively cheery and affectionate child, they quickly learned to stay away from people in order not to draw disgust.

Eru tried to attune herself and practiced her dark magic for years. She believed she, and by extension the dark aspect, was misunderstood. If she could show them how warm and beautiful it was to her, maybe she could be accepted.

After becoming confident in her skill with dark magic, she made a fuss in the middle of the village, calling for the villagers attention. After a sizable crowd showed up, Eru braved the nasty comments determined to show them the beauty of dark magic.

While her display seemed to go well at first, it quickly got out of hand since she had never tested her magic on other living beings or in larger spaces. The imbalance of light and dark aether concentrated to this one area caused untold destruction of the entire village and some of the surrounding nature. When she attempted to conjure an apple and show everyone, it worked. But suddenly, an obsidian spike burst through the ground and pierced her left hand and the conjured apple. Spikes burst through everywhere in the village. Eru was the only survivor.

Since then, she has taken care of herself, preferring to be alone. She practices fire aspected magic almost exclusively to hide her natural born aspect. Many years of meditation and practice keep her harmonic balance in check. With constant background focus, she makes herself seem naturally fire aspected to all but the most experienced magic users. Upon learning that most other places revere those with an aspect for dark, the resentment for her home and for herself developed exponentially. She tries not to think about the potential life that was taken from her, or about the potential of everyone whos lives she took away.

She is typically cold and quiet, but is prone to lashing out. No one has tried to stick around and get to know her, so even she doesn't know if she's capable of trusting people (or herself) again.
