Hua Jiao is a European Hare and Red Fox Kindred Hybrid. The current Environmental Division Headmaster of the Adventurers' Guild who really likes rocks. Considered a complete oddball both by his peers and his subordinates in his division. Don't let that smile of his fool you.
Appearance
Hua Jiao is a tall male kindred with a pair of long reddish-brown hare ears, one ear is always lop-sided and a long bushy fox tail. His hair is also the same reddish brown as his ear and tail with a long side ponytail with red and white highlights, his eyes are yellow with a red center but he's always squinting, and a red ivy tattoo that runs down his right leg.
His attire consists of an Eastern inspired outfit with a chest window that's greyish brown with long white sleeves. The outfit contains many different patterns and is embelished with golden. His guild armband attached to a shoulder piece. He's always wearing a monocle, markings on his eyes and face along with a set of hearing aids that help him reduce incoming noise. On his belt he carries an assortment of different rock blends he carries to give to people (against their will)
Personality
A cunning man that many consider to be an absolute wackjob. Like the lorax he speaks for the trees but in this case, its rocks. Formerly a resident of Vyper, being weird is coded into his blood. He is energetic and playful on the surface but easy to bore. Finding entertainment in most of his antics,to the point many are either weirded out by his antics or take him for a buffoon. It’s usually both. And can you blame them, appearing from thin air, speaking to rocks and making people sniff his ‘special mineral blend’, it is no wonder people think he’s crazy.
Despite how he chooses to present himself to others, every action Huji deliberately makes has meaning behind it. His brain works faster than most, contributing to his quick thinking and movements. Growing up in Vyper is not always sunshine and rainbows, it is survival of the fittest and Huji is not afraid to take more drastic measures to get something done. Him being a nutcase has another meaning.
Biography
The eldest son of a kindred couple in Vyper. Due to the region's harsh conditions and weird laws, it produced an equally weird kindred. Being the eldest of his family, there was expectation on Huji to become successful in his future career to support his family and many siblings. Which led him to apply for medical courses in the Education Division Academy to join the Contingency Division. In which he did, and was in practice for about 3 months before he left by his own volition as he found the whole thing boring as hell. He had the knowledge and knew how to put things into practice, but he wanted to do things his way which did not fly by with his superiors.
There was one thing though, that Huji loved above all else. Rocks. Rocks, minerals, even the smallest spec of dirt. Since he found no love in what he was expected to achieve, he decided to pursue something he loved instead. Reinstating himself into the Academy and coming back a member of the Environmental Division. Because to him, the environment also meant rocks and mineral ores.
For the next few centuries there he stayed with this Division, hopping between different subdivisions as the years went by. Eventually making his way up to Headmaster by some miracle of the Dragons. (It's actually because despite his behaviour, Huji was always an efficient worker even if the task bored him) Now he terrorizes people, both enemies of the environment and the members of the Environmental Division. Earning him the title The Environmental Terrorist.
In current day, Huji is managing the Eversun Nature Reserve, Gardens, Aquarium and Animal conservation efforts. It is busy work but it's what gets him going and makes him never bored of his job. He also makes frequent trips to the quarries of Ha’zaar to oversee the collaborative efforts of the EVD and Trade Division transfer ores and rock materials. It's his favourite place to visit and where he gets components for his blend.
Abilities
Teleportation! (It’s not)
Huji can open up holes in the ground and travel through them at high speeds, popping up at different locations of his choosing. Often popping up behind unsuspecting guild members just to scare them. Don’t worry he closes the holes up after, he doesn’t want to get in trouble for leaving behind a mess.
Rock speak (It’s not)
He can resonate with the surrounding earth, be it rock, cave or just the dirt beneath you. By doing so he can track down a person’s location. He does not actually speak with rocks but he often plays into it as if he is just to mess with people.
Trivia
- An active practitioner of improper practice.
- His parents still think he should have become a doctor or join the CAD to become a lawyer. But being Headmaster pays well so they can't complain too much.
- Claims he can speak to rocks and minerals.
- His office is filled head to toe with his extensive rock collection. Each named, dated, recorded and stored behind protective glass, embellished with golden plaques.
- Oldest of 12 siblings.
- Always carries around a pouch of his special blend. Although it can relieve pain and soothe people, it's too suspicious that avoid taking it.
- He likes Doromors, they understand his love for minerals.
- He has a very strong sense of hearing. So strong to the point that it gives him headaches. Thus, he wears special earpieces developed by the ASD to minimise the sound going into his ears.
