Cyrus Lapin is a Lesser Kindred with traits of a white-tailed jackrabbit. He works as a monster ecologist in the Environmental Division, studying particularly organic behaviors within monsters and the predation chains they take part of.

Personality
Cyrus is a very quiet but casual young man (in Kindred terms) who favors a blend of peace and liveliness as opposed to bustling and chaotic nonsense. He is a thinker, often humming a "hm" before his statements or otherwise pausing. He struggles with saying the word "no" and due to this, often gets pulled around by others more extroverted than him. He is, however, highly intelligent and his thoughts often unravel quicker than his tongue, which causes him to mix up words verbally. To combat this, he carries a personal journal (not to be confused with his personal ecology journal) that he occasionally pulls out to debrief his thoughts prior to speaking.
Biography
Cyrus was born in a treetop village in the southern territories of Castrella to a jackrabbit Kindred family. He grew up particularly attached to his older sister Rosa, as she dedicated a lot of her time and efforts to raising him. His parents were not absent, but they were both high-ranking individuals in the forest village's peacekeepers and were often away on travels. To bring him a better life, Rosa traveled to Eversun City with Cyrus in tow when he was around 20 years old. They both enrolled in the Adventurers' Guild as soon as they could.
After some mandatory checkups through the Contingency Division, it was found that Cyrus has a condition affecting his aether gland. It is hyperactive and overproduces his natural aether element, which causes his vision to appear brighter than normal. He was always under the assumption his vision was "normal," but after his checkup, he was granted darker-tinted glasses to assist in his vision. He was also advised to practice magic as much as he can, as the overproduction of aether can be dangerous to his body. Constant usage of magic would help him regulate the overproduction. This condition also causes him to see apparitions of living organisms that may have tread in an area within a certain past time period, but only for a very fleeting moment. He is currently developing a way to use magic to better supplement these premonitions and gain more information.
Cyrus joined the Environmental Division on a complete whim. He had no prior interest in environmentalism outside of the fact he originates from a forest village, and so he jumped between a lot of positions within the division. After about 20 years, he began working on the Eversun Nature Reserve and fell in love with studying large predators and their behaviors. He re-enrolled in supplemental classes to begin this new route of studies, and ever since then, he's been constantly working between the nature reserve and field work to study large predators up close.

Cyrus is able to combine his Light and Wind aether to dematerialize a small object and rematerialize it a short distance away. He does not have to see the destination, but he has to be able to see the object prior to moving it.
