Nayu Gemworks

Nayu Gemworks is a multifunctional forge owned by the Nayuri family, a very large family of fire Tempered who originate from a volcano city. It is located in a strip of businesses closest to the Hearth, surrounded by other helpful facilities to support Wayfarers in particular.

Its hours of business are from 07:00 until 21:00, every day of the week—even the weekends!

Functions

Gemsmithing

The service that Nayu Gemworks is most famous for. They mine their own gems from caves and dungeons and bring them back to the forge to refine them in a way that makes them ideal for arcane foci and other magic-related uses. Nayu Gemworks is actually one of the leading providers of aether-ready gems to the Adventurers' Guild to sew onto new armbands. These gems are high-quality and very expensive, but they have options for everyone.

Nayu Gemworks is also able to provide the service of affixing gems onto gear, whether it is their own gems and gear or not. If you order gems and gear, they usually provide a discount bundle for affixing fees...

Blacksmithing & Armory

The owners of the facility, who happen to be Lucia Nayuri's mother and father, are proficient in armory and weaponsmithing respectively. They each run their own section of the forge with high confidence and poise.

The father is especially keen with weapon maintenance. Wayfarers who have a valid license will typically receive a discount if they provide their identification and need their weapons maintained or checked up on.

Appearance

On the exterior, Nayu Gemworks appears like a very, very extravagant forge that looks smaller than it actually is. When you step inside, you notice that the main lobby has a wide array of gems, weapons, armor sets, and a very kind receptionist ready to assist any patron who may have questions. There are always dozens of workers running around in smithing gear. Rooms and facilities are technically open to the public but must be escorted by a member of the Nayuri family through the rooms, and visitors must wear gloves and goggles. Most of the major functions provided to the public are on the ground floor, but there is a basement floor where gem refinery happens.

Archways are concealed with red curtains instead of doors, and the venue runs high in temperature. It can get pretty steamy in the premises, and it always smells like coal.
