Ocellus (oh-chell-us) Glow is a Nightjar Kindred currently working within the Contingency Division as a nurse. A caring person willing to help with any patient and case, she desires to help others with what moves her forward. Wants to help as many people as they can after seeing first hand what the world can do to people. No matter the cost…. she will save them... right?

Appearance

A 5'10" kindred with light brown wings and hair. Their wings are 1/3 of their body size, which are slightly too small to allow for flight. The wings have feathers on the ends of them that are black while the rest is golden brown. She has 2 black feathers that extend out of her head like antlers. Her golden brown hair is braided into two Dutch braids with some black streaks of hair intertwined.

Ocellus' pupils take up 3/4 of her eyes, and they are mostly large black pupils with orange irises - no sclera can be visibly seen. The guild logo can be seen on her chain that hangs from the arms of the glasses. Her apparel is made for both work and personal life. Their shirt is a mix of pink and blue wrap, dress pants and brown shoes with an open tan jacket reaching down to her knees and resting at her elbows.

Personality

Ocellus works and helps others with little regard for themselves, and as a result, she has days where she is snippy and comes off as rude. This is due to how she is emotionally exhausted and mentally drained.

She has been known to give tiny trinkets to others as small gifts, or idly brushing the others' hair. She loves to work, and she is very energetic. Ocellus is often seen as an airhead, while they may be a flustered mess, she has quite the knowledge on her medicinal work and takes her job seriously.

Biography

Ocellus grew up in a lower part of Eversun City, and her father was out of the family’s picture for her whole life - leaving Ocellus to be raised solely by their mother, Silvia. She had loved her mother more than anything else and for them, it was worth more than any physical object she could have wanted in the world. Silvia’s gentle and warm smile was (and still is) the most beautiful thing she has seen.

She had taught the young Kindred how to braid hair, mend clothing, tend to burns, and assist those in pain with a gentle hand.

The sudden loss of her presence at the age of 19 played a role in guiding Ocellus to the guild, after the spark for wanting to help others through life had been ignited. Following this guiding light, she had joined the guild a year later when turning 20 and began an internship, a new life, within the city of Eversun. While striving to be able to mend others to help or a reason to smile again, Ocellus had developed a workaholic-like nature and developed a general disregard and awareness for her own health. As per The Guild's instruction, she was not to interact with any Whimsy-aspected patients, for their likelihood of either getting sick or cursed is rather high from exhaustion.

In the current year, Dr. Glow is 27 years old (although she tells people she is 38) spends a large amount of her time in the hospital ward helping out her patients or generally checking in with their wellbeing. These people are both her friends and ER patients, requiring her expertise. Determined to help her patients, seemingly no matter the cost.

Calming Breeze (Wind): Ocellus uses her wind abilities to help calm down or cool her patients. On rare occasions, she uses it herself as a breathing aid.

Work Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: Private consultations.

Wednesday, Friday: ER.

Sunday: Day off.

Scalpel: A surgical scalpel she carries around with her after a couple of incidents where they realized that, maybe, a weapon would be handy.

First aid kit: A guild standard first aid kit she has on her person everywhere.
