Relationships Events

"Words are humanity's strongest weapon. Listen, and use them wisely."

Minerva Aquili is a satyr Fae born in Dizajni that works as a Squadron Captain in the Outerworld Division, commanding excursions into whimsy-contained bubbles. In the shadows, her family holds high power in the Black Market under the family name of Caprinae di Aquila. She is the heiress to the family but she holds no value in seeking this power right away.

Appearance

Minerva is unabashedly pink. Her hair is naturally a white color that fades into rose pink at the ends, with her ears flattened at her sides with the same color. Curled horns point up and forward on either side of her head wrapped in ribbons. Her eyes are a striking ice blue, but she is blind in her left eye and chooses to use a rose-shaped eyepatch with a gemstone in the middle equipped as her focus. She wears a thick, white coat over her shoulders in a militaristic style, and she often walks around the halls with it completely closed and hiding her figure. She also has a cow's tail adorned with a bow. Minerva is quite short thanks to her Fae heritage.

Personality

Minerva is an authoritative and commandeering presence. It’s easy to mistake her as fluffy and whimsical a first glance, but anyone who speaks to her for a spell will easily see she has a firm gasp on her composure and earned her position as a reliable captain. It doesn’t take much to get her to laugh and smile, though! It’s easy to melt through her tough exterior and will try to remain on good standing with her squadmates below her and take good care of them.

She is still a Fae, though. She can be very tricky to deal with if you’re not on her good side, often twisting her words into forcing a pact with someone she believes can break it with her favor. She’s small, quick, and strong, and has no problem reminding you of such. Thanks to her talent in magics, she works closely with Arcane Sciences and Outerworld employees with utmost friendliness.

Biography

(This has no chronological time sense so please bear with me, just ramblings to clean up.) Minerva descends from a long, long family line of trickster Fae called the Caprinae di Aquila, but this is not known to the public visage. Often just short handed to Caprinae, the family name is often dropped purposefully so she isn’t associated with such when interfacing with her guildmates. She was raised and trained to have an upper hand in vocal tactics and ambiguous contracts, tricking unaware people into pact making and pact breaking to gain something from them. The Caprinae di Aquila are more than just the Aquili family—many underlings report to them as part of the faction. They’ve had a strong pull on the Black Market for hundreds of years now, and most underground goers around the territories of Eversun, Dizajni, Bellvué, and Ha’zaar will have heard the name with some wight attached to it. Bad rumors will always spread about shady businesses, and unfortunately, the Caprinae have many of those latched onto their backs.

But not Minnie, fortunately for her! She’s the heiress to the head of the Caprinae, but makes no effort to actually speed up the process or make sure she’s fit for the task. She’s quite satisfied with having hands in both the Guild’s bucket and the Black Market’s bucket at the same time. Thanks to her position in the Outerworld Division, she has easy access to a lot of subjects surrounding corruption. Thanks to the Black Market’s obsession with keeping corruption around as a stable source of income, she’s been turning around and selling information from the OWD discreetly. Her family’s base of operations lie in Dizajni, only accessible to Fae and others they trust.

Many will go to Minerva as a solid source of information, both in the Guild and the Black Market. While in the scope of a Fae’s age, she’s just a child, she’s found herself in a spiderweb of connections weaved by her own hands. If you want information as a Guildie, she’s more than happy to answer your questions as long as you offer something in exchange. If you want information as a Black Marketeer, however, you better be ready to pay a sum of gold for her words. Words have a lot of pull and meaning when it comes to her Fae family.

Trivia

  • Once had a wife who was impoverished and lived in the northern area of Eversun. Yes, that one. Minerva saved her, and in exchange, her wife would always gift her a bouquet of 6 roses of varying pinks before an OWD excursion. This is where she gets her rose motif. Unfortunately, that wife is no longer in the picture, and Minerva is attempting to unravel the mystery of her death.
  • Also has a daughter. Somewhere. They have a good relationship! But her daughter is heavy into the family things and very separate from her parent.
  • Her eyepatch is her focus.
  • Has some heavy ties with the now-Valhalla Project.
  • Tiny and loses her temper quickly. You know the trope.
