Whiskers & Wonders

Whiskers & Wonders is a high-class café that's themed around purrtômes and is home to many of these magical creatures. It's located next to an avistus carriage checkpoint at one of the many entrances to the Market District, and thanks to this location, it receives a lot of foot traffic. While it is very expensive to purchase and dine at this facility, the provisions are high-quality and worth the gold.

Functions

Café Lobby

The first floor of W&W is a very cozy lobby with a long counter with room for multiple baristas to move around and make drinks. It leads into a kitchen where many chefs and bakers make the pastries in-house. Everything is made fresh daily. There are many tables and booths for the public to sit and interact with the many purrtômes scurrying about the premises.

Second Floor

The second floor is another dining area where the guests can interact with the purrtômes. It also leads out to a balcony with chairs and tables and umbrellas to enjoy the weather while sipping tea or coffee.

Adoption Shelter

If a patron falls in love with a purrtôme, they may opt to adopt it! The workers there are all trained in assisting with paperwork to adopt one of these ghostly creatures and will provide a starter kit and booklet to make sure you have everything you need and are educated in taking care of a purrtôme.

Appearance

W&W has a gothic-like elegance to the interior and exterior. The wonders the name refers to is magic, and there are many rumors on how the business uses magic to cook, clean, and provide the best experience for their guests. There's an invisible aetheric barrier surrounding the café that keeps the purrtômes in, since they can be very sneaky and hide in patrons' shadows or simply walk through solid objects. There's a garden in the front and back of the facility that grows catnip.

The interior of the café is dimly lit and the décor matches the possible colors of the cores purrtômes have in their tails. There are tea sets that are modeled after these tails, as well as the employee uniforms match this aesthetic as well. When you enter the café, you can easily tell this is is an expensive endeavor. But you will not leave disappointed if you choose to spend your hard-earned gold.
