Ocellus (oh-chell-us) Glow is a Nightjar Kindred currently working within the Contingency Division as a doctor. A caring person willing to help with any patient and case, she desires to help others with what moves him forward. Wants to help as many people as she can after seeing first hand what the world can do to people. No matter the cost…. she will save them... right?

Appearance

A 5'1" kindred with light brown wings and hair. His wings are 1/3 of his body size. They are too small to allow for flight. The wings have feathers on the ends of them that are black while the rest is golden brown. He has 2 black feathers that extend out of his head like antlers. His golden brown hair is braided into two Dutch braids with some black streaks of hair intertwined. Her pupils take up 3/4 of his eye. Her eyes are mostly large black pupils with orange irises, no sclera can be visibly seen. The guild logo can be seen on his chain that hangs from the arms of the glasses. His apparel is made for both work and personal life. His shirt is a mix of pink and blue wrap, dress pants and brown shoes with an open tan jacket to reaching down to his knees and resting at his elbows.

Has a bracelet she wears that corresponds to the pronoun and gender she is that day, along with a pronoun pin on their lapel for his patients to refer to. Blue: he/him Pink: she/her.

Personality

Ocellus works and helps others with little regard for himself, and as a result has days where he is snippy, and comes off as rude. This is due to how he is emotionally exhausted and mentally drained. On these days, he ends up needing to be forced to sit down and rest, eat and not talk. He is quite stubborn about this, but secretly and quietly he appreciates the care given from his friends. Often seems to cling to others around him, most commonly seen wrapping their wings around those he cares for. If he coins you as a friend or someone important, he becomes very clingy and affectionate.

He has been known to give tiny trinkets to others as small gifts, or idly brushing the others' hair. She loves to work, and he is very energetic. Ocellus is often seen as an airhead, while he may be a flustered mess, he is book smarts and takes his job seriously.

Biography

Ocellus had grown up in a rather small town close to Eversun that succumbed to corruption of Whimsy. As a child, she didn't have much in the way of material goods, but it never mattered to the young kindred. He was happy, always very happy. She had loved his mother more than anything in the world, for him, it was worth more than any physical object he could have wanted in the world. Her gentle and warm smile was (and still is) the most beautiful thing he has seen.

She had taught him how to braid hair, mend clothing, tend to burns, and assist those in pain with a gentle hand.

The sudden loss of her presence at the age of 19 played a role in guiding Ocellus to the guild, after the spark for wanting to help others through life had been ignited. Following this guiding light, he had joined the guild a year later when turning 20 and began an internship, a new life, within the city of Eversun. While striving to be able to mend others to help or a reason to smile again, Ocellus had developed a workaholic-like nature and developed a general disregard and awareness for his own health. As per The Guild's instruction, she had been not to interact with any Whimsy aspected patients for his likelihood of either getting sick, or cursed, is rather high from exhaustion.

In the current year, Dr. Glow is 27 years old (although she tells people he is 38) spends a large amount of his time in the hospital ward helping out his patients or generally checking in with their wellbeing. These people are both his friends and ER patients, requiring his expertise. Determined to help her patients, seemingly no matter the cost.

Aether Abilities

Wistful Gale (Wind): Used to both move objects short distances & cool off an area. Ocellus has used this ability to cool off patients, which has saved their lives.

Work Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: Private consultations.

Wednesday, Friday: ER.

Sunday: Day off.

Scalpel: A surgical scalpel he carries around with him after a couple of incidents where he realized that, maybe, a weapon would be handy.
