Ari Lancaster

Nevidess looks up to his older brother in all ways except physical (a fact which he is mindful not to mention, lest he wound the other Elvaari's ego). Since Ari was already an adult when Nev was born, he took it upon himself to be the child's caretaker rather than leave him to be ignored by their parents or taken away by some hired nanny; Nev is very much in the dark about his older brother's self-serving and carefree lifestyle.
