Ginkgo Tree
Welcome to the Ginkgo Tree. We're honored to be the Adventurers' Guild first impression on the recruits. So come on down, let the Oates introduce you to the sunny rays of life.
The Ginkgo Tree is the name of a large-scale tavern attached to the lobby of the Adventurers' Guild. It offers respite to wayfarers, travelers, Adventurers, and the public residents alike. It is run and staffed solely by the Oates, a family of rodent Kindred and Pestlings. There are some unsavory rumors spreading around about their involvement with the Guild and how they are not that good of people, however, it is hard to deny that they are beloved by many.
Functionality
The Ginkgo Tree is a very large facility, as its open tavern floor is over four times bigger than your average, local tavern. There is a bar counter nestled away on the far side of the lobby, opposite of the entrance, and almost 100 tables for taverngoers to drink and eat until they can no longer stand. There is also a raised stage against another wall, perfect for live music and bard tales. Everything in the Ginkgo Tree is modeled after nature with a log cabin-type aesthetic. It's typically quite dim in the tavern at night, as the only lights provided are from lanterns and string lights covering the walls.
Everything on the menu of the Ginkgo Tree is a pun off of nuts or nature. This also goes for its staff, as the plucky face of the tavern is Sunflower, a Greater squirrel Kindred. Sunflower is the most beloved southern belle of a barmaid of the tavern, delivering food and drinks with speed and grace despite how busy it can get in the tavern. Some patrons visit the Ginkgo Tree just to see Sunflower when having a rough day, and she'll do her best to lift your spirits while also getting you a drink. You still have to pay, though.
The Ginkgo Tree also functions as a hub of information, with a bulletin board of important news headlines and urgent quests directly from the residents of Eversun themselves. Wayfarers pass through the tavern so often, some Oates family members will recognize and remember them by name. There is also a family member receptionist running a quest desk beside the board.
