Lyrrh al Stahl (or Lyrrh Stahl) is the name of the Dragons' Sky City floating unimaginably high above the Castrella's surface, colloquially called The World Below by the dragons. The city's name roughly translates to "We, of the stars" in an ancient, near-forgotten Dragon language and dialect.

Appearance

Lyrrh al Stahl, or Lyrrh Stahl for short, is a grand city built on the foundation of a multitude of floating isles. None of these isles are connected by walkways, as most Dragons opt for the use of flying as their main method of transportation. By several dragons' decrees upon seeing the world below, Lyrrh al Stahl is nearly double the size of Eversun City but with less than an eighth of the population. The buildings and architecture is primarily white and gold, with stained glass accents covering the buildings. The city has stayed afloat for longer than the earliest recorded event in Castrella's main continent. The only reason the Guild has this information is due to the intelligence that Lumen, the Archivist Division headmaster, has brought to the Guild.

Waterfall-like structures decorate the isles of Lyrrh al Stahl, but they are not water; these flowing currents pouring off the side of the isles and seemingly dissipating after a certain distance is elemental aether.

Aetheric Profile

The aether density in Lyrrh al Stahl is nearly five times as potent as the density of the World Below. This is due to the Council of Seven, a group of the oldest dragons known to history with complete control over each of the five basic elements and two harmonic elements. The Council of Seven are responsible for distributing the elemental aether and creating a perfect balance of harmony for inhabitants of Castrella to live in. Some accidents may occur with maintaining aetheric balances, but these manifest as natural weather conditions or disasters that may impact the World Below.

The Council of Seven harbors no control over the chaotic elements. They cannot pinpoint an exact reason as to why the chaotic elements have manifested, but they cannot fix it, and it does not harm Lyrrh al Stahl, so the concern is minimal in their eyes.

Since the World Below's aetheric profile is so incredibly sparse and thin compared to the atmosphere in Lyrrh al Stahl, dragons who enter the World Below often experience a type of neurogenic shock.

Culture

The dragons of Lyrrh al Stahl are all uptight and pompous. They are highly materialistic, and have no concept of currency. They feed off of aether, and have a rough idea of real food and nutrition, and in turn, grow stronger and more formidable the more they expose themselves. Lyrrh al Stahl is very quiet and peaceful, with only a select few celebrations and festivals in place to raise morale. Their idea of their civilization is pristine perfection, and everything deemed imperfect is not worth their time.

There is no real monarchy of the city isles, and age plays a large part in respect when dragons interact. The eldest dragon always has the final say, and in the case of Lyrrh al Stahl, the Council of Seven typically have the final say on situations. Lyrrh al Stahl is only consisted of dragons and no other races. There are currently no ways to reach Lyrrh al Stahl from the World Below.

Dragons who fall from Lyrrh al Stahl, or willingly fly down to the World Below, are forever banished from entering Lyrrh al Stahl for the rest of their lives.
