Orion Angelos is a Fae and Featherfolk researcher working within the Environmental Division in the Adventurers' Guild as a member of the Arboreta subdivision.

Appearance

Orion stands at a moderately average 162.7 cm and has a sturdy midsize and chubby build. As a Fae and Featherfolk hybrid, he has warm brown skin with black curly hair, brown eyes and white feathered wings on his back.

Their usual attire has their hair styled short and includes a off-white shirt rolled up sleeves, an orange vest, tan pants, dark brown shoes, and a string bracelet on their left wrist. He also wears a brown apron that matches his shoes whenever working with plants.

Personality

Orion Angelos is a kindhearted and optimistic young man who finds wonder in nature and the world. He's quite socially awkward and down to earth, but has an unwavering hope that guides him through life.

Biography

Orion was born and raised in Cinderfall City in Dizajni, to the fae Meissa Angelos and featherfolk Pollux Lambros. With the two’s earnest attempt to take care of them as best they could, Orion’s early home life was relatively calm and not too remarkable, though as a neurodivergent and quiet kid, they struggled to connect with people, especially with Meissa in particular. They were quick to discover their love for life and the world, as their interests began to surface, led by their own genuine curiosity. Through these developing interests did connection slowly but steadily form with their parents, as Pollux helped nurture their curiosity with his own love for knowledge, and Meissa helped nurture their wonder for the World with occasional walks around the town and surrounding area, though there was still plenty of shared distance between the two.

When Orion was around eight, Meissa killed herself, with Pollux left to take care of Orion, being honest about what she did rather than sugarcoating it. The young Orion understood and from then on would bring flowers to their mother’s place of rest at least once every year as their way of managing their waves of grief and complicated feelings.

In the latter half of his youth, his curiosity and wonder for the world only grew, wanting to travel outside of Cinderfall City to see it for himself, but could never push himself to, outside of the yearly trips to Meissa’s grave. Even just being unable to step beyond the edge of town, they decided to push it off, taking up caring for Cinderfall City in the meantime wherever they could, like sweeping up leaves. He’d know the people living there, but he wouldn’t truly know them, as it always had been for him, but he had his own little pocket of life and a space for his dad and himself... but that desire to see the world never faded, only continuing to spark up more and more over the years. One fateful evening, he laid in bed after another day where he couldn't leave, beating himself up over it, until he just pushed himself right back up, and sprinted across the town’s edge. They managed to get pretty far, running into a certain wounded Wayfarer who then led them to Eversun City, where they’d join the Guild’s Environmental Division. He’s quite content here, taking care of the site greenhouses as if they were his own personal gardens, and rooming with the Wayfarer and an architect who works in the Guild.
