A tinkerer and an adept in their aspect, Iris Y. Janus, better known as just Yue or Jay, is a wandering sorceress hailing from Sil'va. After her home and her people perished at the hands of a Whimsy incident, she was taken in by an Elvaari from a nearby town, and traveled all the way to Eversun to follow the developments of Magitech in the city later on. She currently teaches a limited postgraduate program at the Guild, all while working hand in hand with the ASD to lead a research and development project for a new type of Essence. This class is limited to only those who possess/have submitted a letter of recommendation as well as a security clearance.
Appearance
Yue appears as a dark-skinned woman of fairly muscular build (likely surprising for her age). She is 6'1" tall, and sports blonde hair and hazel eyes.
Personality
Iris tends to get lost in the details, eventually developing a bit of perfectionism, and can appear as a no-nonsense erudite because of this and her experience with the role she's placed in. But she is just as curious and naïve as the few alumni that are under her tutelage. Despite working for a year, she considers herself pretty new to the environment and as such has some trouble opening up to others. The rumours of disappeared people and overall current air of ASD doesn't help her case; though it could also be the feelings brought up by being a small town girl from afar living in a city as big as Eversun, just another fish in a bigger pond. Despite this, she's still interested in knowing her coworkers better, and cherishes what company she has during her class hours.
Because of her previous experiences with seeing such firsthand, Yue is prone to being prejudicial around people with Chaotic Elements (especially Whimsy), and will try to distance herself from them at best, and make more blatant attempts to push them away at worst.
After working, Iris is more approachable, and can sometimes be found at the training halls brushing up on her techniques. She likes to spar with her alumni and coworkers whenever the opportunity arrives, and while she's happy to grab a weapon and have at it, leaving them behind and going at it barehanded is her way to go.
