Weekly Prompt No.1 | Jan 5th - Jan 11th, 2025
Prompt: Trapped
Single-word prompts are used to stretch your creativity. It can be in a literal sense or metaphorical sense. What does your character feel trapped by? Or are they so carefree the sense of feeling trapped means nothing to them?
Weekly Prompt No.2 | Jan 12th - Jan 18th, 2025
Prompt: Breaktime
Now that we warmed up our angsty feelings with the last prompt, how about something more light-hearted? What does your OC do on their downtime? Do they frequent the Ginkgo Tree and socialize with the patrons? How about a day trip to the market sector of Eversun? Maybe sit under a tree and relax while reading a book? Take a wagon ride to a famous landmark? Or maybe they just keep working... whatever it is, please give your OC a break. They're probably stressed.
Weekly Prompt No.3 | Jan 19th - Jan 25th, 2025
Prompt: New Face
What kind of new face are we talking about? Is it your OC being the new face at the Guild, ready to take on the world? Maybe a new friend or coworker that'll be important? There's plenty of new faces at the Guild every day, you know. Orrr... maybe, your OC looks in the mirror and doesn't recognize themselves anymore after all this work... what really counts as a "new face," huh?
Weekly Prompt No.4 | Jan 26th - Feb 2nd, 2025
Prompt: Extracurricular Errands
Your Adventurer just found themselves told by their headmaster to take this temporary license, find a friend, and take care of a specialized quest. This Prompt is a little less vague due to instigating character interactions. But the type of quest is up to you. Is your critter an OWD member? They mightve gotten a quest to exterminate some wildlife. Trade Division? Probably looking to get you out of your comfort zone and deliver a package to another city. Whatever it may be, it'll be too difficult to go alone. Take a friend!
If your character isn't part of the Guild, they could always just encounter a Guild member they might know and get picked up...
Weekly Prompt No.5 | Feb 2nd - Feb 8th, 2025
Prompt: Recital / Wings
Happy Recital, Eversun! Let's take the week to celebrate the expression of love and appreciation in the form of silly little Heartwing Chocolates. You all know the rules and superstitions, right? Did your OC buy some chocolates and are planning to hand them out? Maybe they're making some on their own and adding their own flair! Or.... is your OC so popular they're getting too much chocolate? Who knows! How is your OC spending their St. Morgan's Recital? (Or, if they're not celebrating, the alternate word is "Wings." Interpret that as you please!)
Please make sure if you wanna include others' OCs in your prompt, discuss it first! Maybe. Unless you really wanna surprise them because you think you cooked. Wahoo.
Weekly Prompt No.6 | Feb 9th - Feb 15th, 2025
Prompt: Winter Nights
As the St. Morgan's Recital Festival comes upon the horizon, get your cute festival outfits ready! It's a week-long event that occurs at night after the sun goes down, and the Theater District is decked out entirely in hearts, wings, and feathers for decorations. Take whoever you want to enjoy the minigames, special festival clothing, eat chocolate-covered everything, and dance the night away! Just make sure you're good for work at the Hearth the next day. It's still the winter though, so it might snow...
Weekly Prompt No.7 | Feb 16th - Feb 22nd, 2025
Prompt: Memorial
You had enough time to be happy with the season of love. Now be sad. I have no actual introduction for this prompt except that I was playing Limbus Company when I thought it would be a neat prompt for sad stuff maybe. I want you guys to make me sad, thank's!
Weekly Prompt No. 8 | Feb 23rd - March 1st, 2025
Prompt: Morning Routine
Good morning, Castrella! It's a new day, so what does your Castrellan do to get ready for the day? Do they eat breakfast? Do they go out and exercise at the crack of dawn? Or do they just lazily roll out of bed and barely put in the effort? How many outfits do they cycle through before landing on the same one every time? And is it the same every morning or do they improvise? Whatever it may be, there's gotta be something they do to make themselves presentable.... hopefully.
Weekly Prompt No. 9 | March 1st - March 8th, 2025
Prompt: Hobbies
Whoa, happy Company Mandated PTO! Your little blorbo has been given the chance to have actual free time. Weird, right? You crazy workaholics. Chill. So what would they do in said free time? Job? Plant? Get beat up with practice swords? Build miniature ships in bottles? Tell me what they do in their off-chance free time!
Weekly Prompt No. 10 | March 9th - March 15th, 2025
Prompt: Reprieve / Opportunity
It's time for another Festival! The Theater District once again is hosting their big, extravagant closing night events for Saint Noah's Reprieve. This is the time to hang out with the people you broke chocolates with... your last chance to do something with them if you haven't already. Remember, if you don't, superstition says you'll have bad fortune for the year when it comes to love! You don't want to see if it's true, do you? Of course, you don't have to attend the festival, but this is a good holiday to finally do what you haven't been able to do. And you're getting paid for it. So go snag that opportunity and live in the moment.
(This Prompt is for St. Noah's Reprieve, but if your blorbo is not participating, you may use the alternate Prompt "Opportunity" in its place.)
Weekly Prompt No. 11 | March 18th - March 22nd (sory I forgor), 2025
Prompt: Impression
Surprise! It's Whitt's Day Out! During Guildmaster Pterra Whitt's big idea to bridge the gap between himself and his lovely Adventurers, you have been tasked to train him in your daily routine at work. Yes, that means OWD members may be escorting him through a bubble. Anyway, you're now the teacher and, even though you've briefly met him once before, this is your time to make a good impression on him. OR Do you recall the first time you met one of your closest friends? What kind of impression did you make on them, or vice versa? Were you fast friends, or did it take a little bit to build up the courage to finally spend time together? Or maybe... did something about your job click with you, making that first impression something so invaluable, you wouldn't trade the world for it?
Weekly Prompt No.12 | March 25th - March 29th (sory I forgor...2!), 2025
Prompt: Leader
Welcome to Part 2 of Whitt's Day Out! Now is your time to show off that not only can you leave a good impression, but you are also a good leader and role model for those around you. You have a great work ethic, right? The Guild can't function without you. You are valuable. So show off the fact that you can lead with a good nature, iron fist, or... well, whatever tactics you have up your sleeve. And if you're not with the Guild, I'm sure you're a prominent leader somewhere else in your life.
Weekly Prompt No. 13 | March 30th - April 5th, 2025
Prompt: Rebellion
This week's Prompt goes hand in hand with another holiday... that starts on April 1st! You won't get a preview outside of this prompt word. But is there anything that your character does that may be an act of rebellion? Is there something they just HAVE to prove despite others saying no? Is there something that drives them to break the rules? No one is perfect, right?
Weekly Prompt No. 14 | April 6th - April 13th, 2025
Prompt: Quipsy Shenanigans
Its the most, joyous time of the year! At least to those that enjoy a good laugh or two. Is your character easily pranked? Do they get paranoid of Haladen? Do they play any pranks on others? Just don't lose your heads now :)
Weekly Prompt No. 15 | May 25th - June 1st, 2025
Prompt: Photograph
In light of the memories being made, let's capture that with a photo shall we? Maybe there's a snapshot of a place your character enjoys, or of themselves in a moment they felt pretty? Or is your character the type to be behind the camera- or the one that photobombs?! Maybe even a time to reminisce on some memories already taken.. either way-! Take the time to really snap those moments!
Weekly Prompt No. 16 | June 1st - June 8th, 2025
Prompt: Identity/Mirror
What does your character relate to as important to their identity? What do they see when they look at themself in the mirror? Who is their true self? Does their happiness come from their hard work coming to fruition or from the hobbies they spend time with? Is there pieces of clothing or make up that feels significant to them because of their familial ties?
Weekly Prompt No. 17 | June 8th - June 15th, 2025
Prompt: Folklore/Fairytales
Think of a childhood story you've heard as a child, now, think about if it were written from a Castrellan point of view. If the character was cursed, how would it look in your Castrella character's point of view?
How would these different perspectives of classics look if they were Castrella-fied (Example: Snow White, Sleeping Beauty)? Would they be corrupted? Would they be cursed? It's all up to your own interpretation! Then the different interpretations everyone makes, can be part of how stories over time have changed, and the perspectives people heard growing up. Even possible ways to make different views on heroes, and what makes a hero.
Optionally, or your character as a child dressing up as them!
Weekly Prompt No. 18 | June 15th - June 22nd, 2025
Prompt: Reminisce
If your character got the chance to meet their past self, what would they say to them? Is there things they'd warn them about? Tell them to cherish those close to them more? Or would they simply hug their smaller self? Simply remembering their past self, as they were, and those around them. A trip down memory lane, or perhaps even a talk with their inner child? Maybe a culmination even leading to acceptance over what could've or couldn't have been done. ''I wonder what could've been..?''
Weekly Prompt No. 19 | September 29th - October 5th, 2025
Prompt: Adventuring
If your character is part of the Adventurers' Guild, what does it mean to be an Adventurer to them? Are they there to help people in need, or are they there to further their own personal goals? When they think of the word Adventurer, do they see themselves, or do they think of someone else? A companion close to them, or perhaps a hero of legend like St. Cleo and the First Party?
If your character is not part of the Adventurers' Guild, are they close to anyone who is? What are their thoughts on being an Adventurer, and why are they not one? Is it simply not a lifestyle for them, or is it because they cannot get the fulfillment they need by working for the Guild?
Note: Wayfarer is a different term than Adventurer. All employees of the Guild are "Adventurers," in case you needed a reminder!
Weekly Prompt No. 20 | October 6th - October 12th, 2025
Prompt: Dungeon Diving
Pop-up dungeon time! When you think of these pop-up dungeons, what comes to mind? Are they young, one-and-done mystical areas that only have puzzles? Or are they age-old landmarks that appear in the same spot with treasures and beasts to slay? Have you ever considered negotiating with the monsters to see if they'd let you pass amicably? If your character is a Wayfarer, they were just dispatched to seal away a new pop-up dungeon. Where did it appear? What do they have to do? Please don't try this solo. Go to the Ginkgo Tree and make a party!
If your character is not a Wayfarer, do you think they'd try to convince a Wayfarer to be an escort mission? Why do they want to go into the dungeon? What can they bring to the table, and why should they be brought along? Is this their first time going to a dungeon? Or maybe they were requested to join, file the paperwork, and there was a puzzle that required their expertise?
(this will be a discussion forward prompt that may exceed the time for a weekly prompt and evolve into something deeper for worldbuilding — let's talk about it in #tavern-talk too!)
Weekly Prompt No. 21 | October 14th - October 22nd, 2025
Prompt: Tradition
That time of the year, as the winter chill clutches to the air, many people have various different cultural and folk related activities amongst the city of Eversun, and even more so past its walls. A common one is carving into Gourds, sometimes sticking small flames into or just carving enough for there to be a face or design. What are some traditions your character partakes in? Try inventing some!
Weekly Prompt No. 22 | December 13th - 20th, 2025
Prompt: New Beginnings
It's no coincidence that Sundance occurs in Blossom. It helps us celebrate the turning of the calendar, a new year to start fresh again, and flora blooming once more.
Does your character believe that Sundance, Blossom, and the new year represent a new chapter in their life? Do they have any traditions they partake in? What does your character believe calendar year 1231 has in store for them? Are they scared of anything changing? Or is their resolve to make the next year high as can be? What are they going to do to change things, or maybe they're not changing anything at all? Do they have new relationships and bonds to carry them through life?
Give them some time to reflect on the past year, maybe.
Weekly Prompt No. 23 | December 21th - 27th, 2025
Prompt: Story
There are a lot of stories the average Castrellan holds. From a Wayfarer that travels the world to the homebody with a family of three, stories make up so much of our lives. What stories do your characters have to share now that the year is ending? Do they hold onto any stories told by others that impact their lives? What counts as a story to them, anyway? Or maybe, just maybe, you can write your own, pen to paper, and let your imagination flow.
