Lianne Fennick is a Lesser fox Kindred woman who works as the head proprietress of the Morning Roost, a cafe-bookstore hybrid business which sits at the entry point of the section under protection of the Valhalla Project. She was offered the job thanks to her connection to Odin and Korin.

Appearance

Lianne is a Kindred with traits of a red fox, presenting thick, wavy, striking auburn hair in a ponytail with large fox ears and a tail. She has a few orange highlights at the tips of her hair and ears. One ear is almost always drooping downwards due to internal muscle damage. Red tiger-stripe markings appear on her cheeks, upper arms, and upper legs thanks to her father's side of the family.

She has three piercings on her ears with varying types of earrings, and a navel piercing.

Her work uniform consists of a large, oversized white T-shirt beneath a black apron with the Morning Roost logo on it. Her accessories vary depending on her mood, but they are always consistently the same material or color—she will never mix metals. Her casual outfits consist of cropped tops and very short shorts, lots of jewelry, and her hair ribbon always match her outfit or accessories. During both work and outside, she wears three-inch heels, bringing her height to 5'10" / ~180cm.

Personality

Lianne is a menace. She is flirty, plucky, and quite pushy—she's a woman with desires, which typically boil down to just, "money." She'd do anything to see her pockets filled with gold, and would offer herself in exchange without a second thought. That offering is always her initial course of action, as she's seen almost always heavily flirting with the Morning Roost patrons in order to get them to spend more money at the business. Lianne doesn't own a single shred of shame, and quite enjoys this spontaneous life. Due to this, she has never truly fallen in love with anyone, and doesn't particularly think highly of the emotion or is interesting in being in a committed relationship.

When speaking, Lianne is very forward and does not try to mask her true intentions that much. If she wants someone to stay the night, she will make sure that person knows. However, when her advances are declined or completely ignored, she gets quite huffy and maybe a little mean. Rejection, although it happens rarely, does lower her confidence and ego, and she'll eventually give up if the person insists.

She has a very vivid memory and will memorize patrons' orders after the second time they order. She claims it's a curse, as she's unable to erase some unsavory memories from her teenage years.

Biography

Lianne was born to a tiger Greater Kindred and a fox Lesser Kindred with two other siblings, a younger sister and older sister. Her parents worked for the Guild, but most of their paychecks went to family medical bills. Her younger sister, Sierra, was born with various biological issues involving aether and required a specialist to continuously visit her for constant treatments. They all lived and grew up in the sector where the Valhalla Project is currently ongoing, so their living conditions were not favorable in addition to that hindrance.

Lianne's family was impacted greatly by the sector's fire in 1209, as she lost both of her parents and Sierra, Her older sister, Adelle, is still alive but her whereabouts are unknown. Once Adelle turned sixteen, she vanished, leaving Lianne alone fully as an orphan. She was the last to be rescued from her home burning down, so she suffered major muscle damage on her right ear to the point where she cannot lift or feel much on it.

She met Odin and Korin at age 14, and stuck with the siblings for a small amount of time and learned from their criminal ways in order to survive. She considers herself knee-deep in debt to them for teaching her how to live; Odin's mentality of "living day-by-day" eventually stuck onto Lianne and she took it to quite an extreme.

At age 18, Lianne attempted to apply to the Adventurers' Guild so she could leave Eversun and get transferred to an external branch or outpost in another territory, as she didn't want to live in the place that ruined her life.

there's going to be something here about being captured by brigands and then getting sold off to be a maid for a well-known army general in another territory and that's kind of where her trauma got started and why she started sleeping with people to get what she wants and eventually escape and now it's just kind of ingrained into her. she came back to eversun after eventually taking advantage of another rich man and he was able to help her escape and instead of staying with him she peaced out back to eversun. and then when she returned she found the siblings again and begged them to let her help with the project and yeah :) there's a tasteful way to write this probably but i'm tired

Trivia

• Lianne claims she is illiterate, and is only able to make drinks and serve customers by associating sight & smell to ingredients. She did not get very far in her Education Division curriculum thanks to low literacy, but she can do basic reading, it's just easier to reel people in when she feigns illiteracy.
• When gifted obviously high-value gifts, Lianne hands them off to Odin and Korin to sell on the market for the Valhalla Project.
• Lianne thinks she will never truly fall in love as sleeping around has desensitized her to real emotional attachment.
