Appearance

Kaede has a deep and vibrant red skin with white scales showcased on her shoulder, back, knees, and the thick tail that protrudes from her back. She has white hair that, like her scales, shines in a red color no matter the lighting. Her eyes have a black sclera to make the fiery red eyes of hers more intimidating, and the blackened horns atop her head only stand tall on one side as the other had been broken and mended with gold. She dons a set of plate-like armor and leather vestiges, polished well and showcasing signs of a large amount of experience in fights.

Personality

Kaede is a harsh tutor of the blade and blunt when she speaks truths in her words. Her honesty is something she takes heavy pride in and she'll never shy away from it. Meeting her on the field of battle, even in a spar, is to meet an overflowing volcano erupting with the darkening ashen sky.

On the contrary she's a wise person and a pleasant conversationalist when there's not a blade in her hand. She welcomes the chance to share her wisdoms and takes plenty of chances that she can to partake in hotsprings and similar activities. Still, most tend to be intimidated by the woman.

Biography

Kaede Hiolne is a proud and practiced martial artist. In her pride, she took on many students while she was in the sky city above. Through disagreements with particular viewpoints of some dragons, like her brother, she decided that she would take her knowledge and expertise elsewhere and consider the trip to the surface as an important mission. At least, this is what she told others. Not understanding the surface world, its cultures, and the means to survive down here in a lessened Aether environment has put many of her own skillsets to the test. It wasn’t until she witnessed a bubble for the first time that she understood the dangers this world faced, having battled the creatures that come out of it herself in the defense of the helpless. It shattered one of her horns, and she sees it as a trophy and reminder of the constant need to train and prepare. Ever since, she felt the need to work closely with the monarchy of that time, she became one of the pioneers that transitioned the OWD to what it is today and she gladly assists trainees prior to their assignments. She also runs the trials to become captains! Kaede is precise in her judgement of your skill, blunt, and while holding a weapon she can be considered a frightening experience to see at the other end of a field. However outside of this she’s a wise woman who enjoys the simple things like a good drink of ale and hotspring excursions. She never takes spars lightly, and is known to have injured people.
