Vriella Oulieus

“My lady, so bold and brave, even when knocked over she always manages to get back on her feet. I am more than proud to serve under her ladyship”

Alterma's childhood friend, employer and family. When she was younger she would often play with Vriella alongside her brother Ulvultar. As they grew up they saw each other less and less, the next time the two would reunite would be when Alterma is assigned to be Vriella's guard. For a long while Vriella never noticed who was behind that mask until months later. Alterma would no longer call her by her name but rather 'My Ladyship', having lost all free will, she became a puppet to the House of Ballahast. It was only through Vriella's kindness she would regain back most of her humanity. Even though Alterma is very well aware Vriella is capable of taking care of herself, she is always ready to put her life on the line for her. Alterma loves and respects her like family.

Hanzekihel Oulieus

“Kihel, do be careful at work, do not forget to eat, and do not pick up stray dogs.”

Vriella's grandson. Alterma has been there by his side ever since he returned to the manor. It is to say she treats him like a son she will never have. She used to call him young master for many years until she accidently let 'Kihel' slip out due to Vriella's constant talks to her about Hanze. He responded positively to it and has seen then been calling him Kihel. She will protect him with her life as she does with Vriella.

Ulvultar Ballahast

“Brother, even if you had abandoned me, I do not blame you. That house is a hellscape, we all know it is, but none of us are brave enough to leave. Maybe, I should have taken your hand that day.”

Alterma's beloved older brother. They were very close, some even said Alterma stitched herself onto him. He was a brave child, often taking on faults for Alterma when she didn't perform up to standard, sometimes even losing to her so she could gain her father's praise. But that in tow would cause him to break faster than any Ballahast before him. Alterma knew Ulvultar was going through something, but he avoided sharing these thoughts with her, brushing it aside as nothing. She in turn was frustrated that she couldn't help her brother. One day, Ulvultar planned to escape the House of Ballahast. He urged Alterma to come with him so they could leave together. She agreed at first but on the night of ther planned escape, Alterma stayed behind. Afraid of the world outside Heartsford, she refused Ulvultar's hand, running back into the manor. Leaving Ulvultar behind outside the town's walls. Till this day, many say he had abandoned his sister, which in a way, he still did.

Selena Idris

“Ms Idris. A very, peculiar person. Someone who wants to take time to converse with me, a lowly guard. Peculiar indeed. Though I harbour no ill will, it is greatly appreciated. At least that is what I believe this feeling is called.”

Alterma was once assigned to escort Selena to the manor, only for Selena to strike up a conversation with her. Asking her about things she was not that familiar of. It was thanks to Selena that she realised that gardening and farming were he hobbies, as she had no concept of what hobbies were at the time. To this day Selena makes trips to the Oulieus Manor but not to visit her ladyship but rather her. Peculiar indeed.
