Linette Chantille Malt is an Errant who works as a member of the Adventurers' Guild in Eversun City, an a girl who's absolutely bored and disillusioned with life, yet another Wayfarer looking to make ends meet. At the very least, that's what she wants you to think; in reality, away from Guild eyes, she's a thief. A bandit, if you will (self-proclaimed hitwoman status aside), Linette spends her time working in the Black Market to get some quick money without working at the Guild, as well as other goodies. In the Black Market and while doing her own rouge endeavors, she's known as Saccharose Chiffon.

Background

Linette was born and raised in a calm, rudimentary village in the west side of Sil'va, she is the daughter of a wayfarer and a retired Outerworld operative. While she grew in relative peace, she grew deeply bored and resentful of her life and upbringing. She isn't exactly the hardest working woman, always looking for easy gratification and gains. She initially joins the guild to find something to do in life, but her desire to find a way to get quick money and gains drives her to resort to thievery banditry away from guild eyes, as well as joining the Black Market, all under the alias of "Saccharose Chiffon." She seems to call herself a self-proclaimed hitwoman.

Being exposed to whimsy as soon as the chaotic epement broke out inside her village has done a number to her, to say the least. It has drastically altered her diet, as she no longer able to feel any satisfaction or fulfillment from any foods that aren't sweets or desserts— things like bread, vegetables, meats and water feel empty and taste like nothing to her. Only sugary foods and desserts can make her feel even remotely full.

Personality

Linette is, admitredly, a pretty ordinary woman. She is constantly in a constant state of boredom and indifference. Lethargic. Sometimes she's been noted to he easily irritable, mostly from hunger, but the irritability is still there, and she's not one to shy away from insulting or saying mean things to other, regardless of their position in life. She claims that she rarely feels any fun from questing, so she finds other things to find fun in, to feel something even, constantly seeking out the fun and pleasures of life. On the offchance that you DO find her in a good mood, she's oddly approachable. She's someone who, at least when it comes to Guildwork, likes to take the easy way out, this extends to questing, where she believes her party members are expendable since the Wayfarers Division is the one division with the most members out there. But for the most part, Linette's just deadbeat. Behind that nonchalant nature, however, hides a raging river of resentment.

When she's taking on the persona of Saccharose however, her personality becomes much, much more outgoing; she's cute, cheery, and generally just a ball of sugary sunshine. Don't let that fool you however, she's off her rocker, a fighter without restraints, and she can come off as rude and sharp should she be annoyed and her buttons be pushed. She actively revels in what she does, even if it harms others. Off her rocker, sure, but nobody can tell if the boredom of living in a small town and desperatedly wanting to have a more "interesting" life made her lose it, or if it's the Whimsy eating away at her that drives her off the wall.

Throwing Knives

She always carries throwing knives with her wherever she goes, be it wayfaring or otherwise. If she's not throwing them, she's definitely playing around with them, twirling them around. These are one of her two Guuld-licensed weapons.

Tachi

Her second Guild-licensed weapon, it's got a surprisingly sturdy build, apparently, she stole it from a wealthy weapon collector, which might explain its quality. She holds it one-handed, in a rather carefree fashion.

Steel Bat

A STEEL BAT. Nobody knows if it's Guild-licensed or not, but it sure hurts a lot! Oddly enough, this isn't a weapon Linette openly uses, rather, it's a weapon she uses when performing under the "Saccharose Chiffon" persona.

Linette issurprisingly acrobatic for someone as lazy as her. For instance, she can jump off walls without effort, as well as being able to jump considerably high.

Trivia

• Leo has invited her several times to dinner early into the wayfaring life of each other, in one of those days, Leo secretly admits that she invited her because he was getting concerned (and tired) of seeing eating rather lavish, three-layered cakes for dinner.
• Nobody knows if it was the boredom and resentment from her village life and upbringing that drove her mad, or if it's the Whimsy eating away at her that is sending Linette off her rocker.
