Leo claims he's natively from the now-defunct Alhena Village, this isn't entirely true. He's lived there at some point, but his life story goes deeper than that. Problem is… he blocked it out of his memory due to personal reasons. Truth be told, he is actually a native of Oneiros. Not a lot of people know this due to the baggage it brings Leo.

Backstory - From Oneiros to Alhena

(It's in bullet points but trust me on this one)

• Leo is the child of the marriage formed between an Elvaari Woman (Avidya Haruhi) and the Errant Angstrom Kugelblitz, a successful graduate from Oneiros' signature magic academy, the Kira Hoshino Institute of Arcane Arts. Leona Haruhi Eridanus, better known as just Leo Eridanus, is a half-Elvaari Errant born and raised in Oneiros. Although he exhibits far more Errant traits than he does Elvaari traits. His ears aren't even that pointy! He was lovingly raised by Avidya, who wanted the boy to grow healthy and kind, she came off as a bit overbearing to him, but it was because she truly cared about him. Most of her worries stem from being a healer.

• Anke on the other hand, while still opting to take care of the child, was more strict with Leo, there was a feeling of… disdain whenever he looked at the then-young Errant, the fact that Leo was born as mainly Errant rather than the other way around meant that it would put a wrench on what they had in mind should they have an offspring; to have that person be his successor when it comes to the arcane arts. That meant learning from one of the top students from Kira Hoshino, and becoming a top student in said magic academy, probably ensuring a legacy of highly competent, academically successful magic users from there on. Problem was, Leo was an Errant, half-Elvaari sure, but an Errant regardless, that meant Leo wasn't exactly ahead of the curve in magicks, and it could even negatively rule out the possibilty of Leo reaching the arcane heights that Elvaari (and, by extension, Dragons) can achieve. That didn't stop them from TRYING to teach Leo increasingly advanced arcane arts though.

• And teach Leo magic they did, Anke decided it would be best to teach Leo the ins and ours of aether and magic as soon as humanly possible, as early as Leo can possibly begin to harnes and manipulate aether. As a half-Elvaari Errant itself, Anke knew that, in their own eyes at least, both of them were given the short end of the stick when it comes to magic, and lifespan, it's a thought that haunts Anke constantly, and feeds into their ever growing ambition to master the arcane arts. As soon as Leo turned 13, he was put right to work. A lot of the initial days of learning involved lectures and books, lots of books, many of them thick with pages worth of information in regards to aether. Avidya pleaded that Leo should be studying at Kira Hoshino so he can at least socialize to relieve some stress form studying, but Anke insisted that he should be studying under its own wing. It was only after months of theorical study that Leo began learning how to use magicks proper.

• Training was arduous, difficult, and even hard to understand at times, While Leo was genuinely trying to understand what Anke was teaching him, he felt that it was all overwhelming, on top of that, somwtimes Leo and Avidya felt like Anke was overworking themselves on… something. His study was often off-limits, but if you peeked over the door, one could see him toiling away at mountains of books and manuscripts. Everyone was worried about them, and Leo didn't want to be overworked and stressed like him.

• When he wasn't studying, Leo's usual escapism took the form of novels and stories about adventurers and heroes, and especially stargazing, sometimes Leo would climb up to the tallest spot he could find and gaze upon the ever-so-starry skies of Oneiros. Seeing passing wayfarers inspired him to become an adventurer himself, someone people can look up to and depend on. Avidya fully supported this line of thought, but Anke didn't. It believed that adventurers are nothing but fools who live and die as fast as they fight. It thought that adventuring was a waste of time, and urged Leo to instead use that time to become a renowned scholar or mage. Whenever Leo wanted to spend time with Anke, it would almost always be about studies and practice, rather than relaxation or bonding. Two years have passed, Leo is 15. And magic practice is… still on the table. At the moment, he lacked the words to tell Anke, but Leo was growing weary from all the studying. Angstrom... warned Leo that should he give up or quit his magic studies, he would be disowned from the family with no ifs or buts.

• The usually well-mannered and obedient Errant couldn't bear to see his own dreams and aspirations be controlled by someone else, especially a family member, Leo believed that everyone in a family should healthily support each other, and the worst part about it was that Avidya did not know about this. Leo, staying true to himself, refused to continue his studies wanting to live an actual life like everyone else. And disowned, he was, roughly, but wothout harm. It was not without preparation, however, as Leo had already packed a bag with things to sustain himself. Avidya caught wind of the situation eventually but it was too late by the time she found out. Angstrom masked Leo's disappearance under the pretense of Leo "going out for a walk," but Avidya was not an easily-fooled woman, she might be kind and caring, but she was not gullible, if Leo REALLY did go for a walk, he would have returned by evening. (Or the Oneiros equivalent of it anyway.)

• Leo had already stowed away himself in a carriage headed towards Eversun City, no ill intentions here, he just did so not wanting to take the entire trek there on foot. On the way however, the carriage was hijacked by bandits, while Leo was very determined to fight, the driver and the adventurers riding the carriage urged the young one to run away, which he did. very reluctantly, to this day he doesn't know what happened to that caravan, he only hopes that they survived the bandit raid. Despite having lots of willpower for a 15 year-old, all the walking and fighting against wild creatures with no settlement in sight was clearly taking a toll on the young Wayfarer, eventually, he succumbs to his tiredness and passes out under a large tree within a forest. A forest close to a certain village northeast of Eversun City. This village would be known to Leo as Alhena Village, where he is taken under the care of Bianca Almano, a single mother whom a girl named Florenza Almano.
