== Appearance ==
An Elvaari man with 178cm for height and a concerning amount of weight. He has a pale complexion and can often be seen with a very tired or uninterested expression on his face. He has a long blue-silver hair which he usually puts it in a braid. His silver coloured eyes appear to look very glass-like.  


He often wears clothes in monochrome or muted colours. This man doesn’t have any fashion sense and is often coordinated by [[Vriella Oulieus|Vriella]] when in need.


Hanzekihel was like any other child when he was young until the one day that changed his life came and that is, the day both of his parents passed away from an accident. Him, unable to accept the fate that fell upon them, was then diagnosed as a Faltered. The loss of them both did a huge toll on himself to the point that he happens to unconsciously return to his younger self’s physique, even to this day.
He looks very much like his late mother.


After the death of his parents, he started living with his grandmother, who helped a lot in building up his once weakened [[Arcane Energy#Aether|Aether]]. His efforts showed progress little by little.
== Personality ==
Uninterested and unbothered would be the two main expressions this man carry everyday. However, despite how he looks, he often keeps his eyes peeled and ears open for his surroundings. He is very careful unless distracted. He doesn’t put up a smile and even if he does, it would mostly be a forced smile, rarely a genuine one. If he ever showed any other expressions, he has a habit of covering his face with his hand(s) or turning away as long as he can hide his face.


== Appearance ==
Hanzekihel doesn’t really talk much unless necessary. His way of speech tend to be more formal with strangers or people he’s not really close with while he is actually very relaxed when it comes to friends and family.
Hanzekihel is a man with a pale complexion, usually can be seen carrying heavy eye bags due to his unhealthy sleeping schedules and terrible diet. His hair is long and blue, straight and braided. He sometimes styles his hair in a bun if work gets too much. A red ruby can be seen on his forehead. His eyes are grey/silver, same as his deceased mother. He is often mistaken as a female due to his physique and facial structure. (The female genes in the Oulieus family runs strong.)


His younger self’s appearance is a boy with similar skinny body that looks like he’d faint any second.
He, unfortunately, enjoys overworking himself as a way of distraction. Please look after him.


At most time, he can be seen wearing a white cloak and equipped with a staff. He usually wears a black with grey pants.

Whenever his younger self makes an appearance, there are times when he gets carried away by the emotions of his younger days. A carefree, happy child. He left his hometown after the age of 30 and headed over to Eversun to join the Adventurer’s Guild. When Hanzekihel was a child, he’s just like any other happy child. A child loved and cared very much by both of his parents. However, that did not last for very long. Not even for a decade to the family. His parents passed away due to an accident. The accident has not much details on what actually happened and hence have been a bothering matter to him until this very day. He lost his parents when he was only eight and he was then taken care of by his Grandmother, [[Vriella Oulieus]], who was also saddened by the news of her, one and only, daughter’s passing.


He was only eight when everything happened. The two lovely couple, both members of the Guild, had urgent missions given to them. Due to the emergency, they had to leave their one and only son to the closest relative. Lady Vriella Oulieus, Hanzekihel’s grandmother, is not fond of her son-in-law but her daughter was her everything. She did it because Kihel had nowhere to go and it was only for a few nights. Who would’ve known that that would be the final goodbye. The couple died in the most mysterious way, reported as ‘an accident’ but it was too convenient to call it an accident. The bodies were missing and there were no other hints other than the large amount of blood at the incident.
The incident has made the child fell into a deep grief which caused him to unfortunately, be cursed and slowly turning into the Faltered. The curse itself has caused his flow of Aether to mess up terribly and when at his most lowest condition, he will physically be aged down, returning to his eight-year-old self despite actually being seven decades older.


It was a rainy morning when ‘the men in uniform’ came to relay the devastating news. The weather was as if portraying the child’s reaction at that time. He couldn’t accept it at all. That was when he started hating the rain.


Ever since, Hanzekihel had been living with his grandmother at the Oulieus Manor. ‘Living’ wouldn’t be the right word, it was more as if he had to, because he promised to not cause trouble to his grandmother. However, Lady Vriella was starting to be very worried of the boy as she was unable to see any traces of Aether around him at all. That was when he was diagnosed as a Faltered. She felt terrible for not noticing it earlier, her daughter must’ve been very disappointed and hated her for not looking after her precious son.
His life at the Guild is none other than an overworked researcher, fighting his own basic needs and instead forcing himself to work on his own researches. Being in ''The Studium'' feeds his own needs of wanting to be more in depths with basic and harmonic elements. His research did not stop there. After meeting [[Calliope Keylen]], he expanded his research towards the chaotic elements. He tried his best joining hands with Calliope in finding a cure for [[Corruption]]. Hanzekihel being part of the Arcane Sciences is also another way of him to look into his Curse. At one point, he was assigned to a doctor named [[Maya Nephim]], who helped a lot with his condition whether it’s mentally, physically or with his Curse.


For so many years, supporting Hanzekihel has been her one and only job. Her overprotectiveness over the child was, definitely something. She took care of him as if he was his own child. Well, he does resemble his late mother ''a lot'' in terms of appearance, gentleness and kindness. Lady Vriella’s only aim is to cure him off his Curse but sadly, she would also need the cooperation from the boy himself. He seems to be doing fine on the outside but he’s suffering much more on the inside, leaving the curse casually eating up his mind. Protecting the child from every negativity of the world is the only thing she knows from this point onwards. Ignore all the voices from the others. ''“I am the Elder of this family, and none of you can tell me what to do.”''


Thinking back about the incident from years ago, how curious. The now adult Hanzekihel happened to bump into a room, well hidden by the Lady. It was a room filled with clippings, reports, and many others regarding the death of his parents. She had been investigating it on her own. Was it not just an accident, but instead, a murder? Who was behind all of it? What was the reason? …''Why them?'' The endless questions on his mind almost made him lose himself at that point of time. He left the room hurriedly and never mentioned about it to his grandmother. Pretended to never stepped into the room. However, he left the room with the biggest thought on his mind.
Even with all the things he has been doing for the past several decades by being in the Guild, the answers he seek by being there have not been found. His parents’ death is still a mystery. What’s worse is that two of his co-workers, who were very close to him, have gone missing. His own doctor, Maya, befallen with an unknown disease and passed away not too long after he found out she had been enduring the illness. What answers is he looking for. He tends to overthink and blame himself if he’s actually the one bringing this bad luck to the people around him.

His days of being in the Guild is exactly when he managed to learn of a second element, Ice, despite of his weak aether glands and his personal issues towards water. He does not use his Aether or wield elements often unless for healing purposes.


The High Elder has casted a spell on him after he was almost consumed by the Faltered crystals. A seal-rune can be seen on his back.
He was born to be '''''Wind''''' aspected, which is the same birth aspect as his late father. When he was much younger, he learned that he was able to use his wind to eavesdrop, by adjusting sound waves. The subject for him to test it out will always be the people in the Oulieus Manor, specifically his own grandmother. Until now, he uses the wind to help him hear a few things better or even to cut off sound waves from escaping a certain area. He also uses his wind to ''hold'' a few items for him when he needs a hand. (Only light items like papers, books or a pen.)

Elvaari generally does not need a tool, but in Hanzekihel’s case, this staff is very much needed. The Staff of the Oulieus Family is a family heirloom. The staff is usually hand down when the next in line reaches 70 years old. Hanzekihel received the Staff at age 10 under the orders of the Oulieus’ Elder, Lady Vriella, to help him with his condition. There were those who were against the decision but The Elder’s decision was final. He was indeed just a child, but she saw the potential in him. The Staff can change it’s appearance based on the user/owner. When the Staff was once again awakened by Hanzekihel, it took form of the crescent moon because the day he was born was on a waning crescent moon.

Hanzekihel Oulieus, is an Elvaari researcher at the Adventurer’s Guild under the Arcane Sciences Division. He originally joined to help himself find a cure for his Cursed condition. He is a researcher under The Studium who had also been contributing into the Staff & Scabbard subdivision.

Appearance

An Elvaari man with 178cm for height and a concerning amount of weight. He has a pale complexion and can often be seen with a very tired or uninterested expression on his face. He has a long blue-silver hair which he usually puts it in a braid. His silver coloured eyes appear to look very glass-like.

He often wears clothes in monochrome or muted colours. This man doesn’t have any fashion sense and is often coordinated by Vriella when in need.

He looks very much like his late mother.

Personality

Uninterested and unbothered would be the two main expressions this man carry everyday. However, despite how he looks, he often keeps his eyes peeled and ears open for his surroundings. He is very careful unless distracted. He doesn’t put up a smile and even if he does, it would mostly be a forced smile, rarely a genuine one. If he ever showed any other expressions, he has a habit of covering his face with his hand(s) or turning away as long as he can hide his face.

Hanzekihel doesn’t really talk much unless necessary. His way of speech tend to be more formal with strangers or people he’s not really close with while he is actually very relaxed when it comes to friends and family.

He, unfortunately, enjoys overworking himself as a way of distraction. Please look after him.

Biography

“Diagnosed as a Faltered ever since he was a child after the death of his parents. His condition is gradually getting better after the efforts of his guardian and his own. However, regular checkups on his mental and physical condition is still recommended. His child-self is as if the embodiment of his Curse as Hanzekihel is unable to move forward from his past. Note: Is it guilt? Regret?” -Comment left by the Guild.

A young Elvaari, originally from Heartsford Cliff, Sil’va. He left his hometown after the age of 30 and headed over to Eversun to join the Adventurer’s Guild. He has always been interested and curious in the arcane energy studies ever since at a much younger age.


When Hanzekihel was a child, he’s just like any other happy child. A child loved and cared very much by both of his parents. However, that did not last for very long. Not even for a decade to the family. His parents passed away due to an accident. The accident has not much details on what actually happened and hence have been a bothering matter to him until this very day. He lost his parents when he was only eight and he was then taken care of by his Grandmother, Vriella Oulieus, who was also saddened by the news of her, one and only, daughter’s passing.

The incident has made the child fell into a deep grief which caused him to unfortunately, be cursed and slowly turning into the Faltered. The curse itself has caused his flow of Aether to mess up terribly and when at his most lowest condition, he will physically be aged down, returning to his eight-year-old self despite actually being seven decades older.


His life at the Guild is none other than an overworked researcher, fighting his own basic needs and instead forcing himself to work on his own researches. Being in The Studium feeds his own needs of wanting to be more in depths with basic and harmonic elements. His research did not stop there. After meeting Calliope Keylen, he expanded his research towards the chaotic elements. He tried his best joining hands with Calliope in finding a cure for Corruption. Hanzekihel being part of the Arcane Sciences is also another way of him to look into his Curse. At one point, he was assigned to a doctor named Maya Nephim, who helped a lot with his condition whether it’s mentally, physically or with his Curse.


Even with all the things he has been doing for the past several decades by being in the Guild, the answers he seek by being there have not been found. His parents’ death is still a mystery. What’s worse is that two of his co-workers, who were very close to him, have gone missing. His own doctor, Maya, befallen with an unknown disease and passed away not too long after he found out she had been enduring the illness. What answers is he looking for. He tends to overthink and blame himself if he’s actually the one bringing this bad luck to the people around him.

Health Condition

The curse that manifested into him after the passing of his parents has been eating up his mind. Due to that, his aether levels were close to none. The Curse has made him harder to live as he kept turning back to his younger self, specifically when he was eight years old. There is no specific cause to it other than having it trigger when he is at his lowest.

Aether condition: Lowered due to his Cursed condition. Hanzekihel prefers not to use his Aether, unless necessary.

Mental condition: Terrible. Questionable. Acts like normal most of the time. Or at least tells others that he is fine when he clearly is not.

Physical condition: He lacks proper nutritions, lacks sleep. Suggestion: proper daily meals and get him to sleep at regular hours.

Abilities

His days of being in the Guild is exactly when he managed to learn of a second element, Ice, despite of his weak aether glands and his personal issues towards water. He does not use his Aether or wield elements often unless for healing purposes.

He was born to be Wind aspected, which is the same birth aspect as his late father. When he was much younger, he learned that he was able to use his wind to eavesdrop, by adjusting sound waves. The subject for him to test it out will always be the people in the Oulieus Manor, specifically his own grandmother. Until now, he uses the wind to help him hear a few things better or even to cut off sound waves from escaping a certain area. He also uses his wind to hold a few items for him when he needs a hand. (Only light items like papers, books or a pen.)

Hanzekihel did learn Ice but the usage is pretty limited to only for its restorative purposes and creating a physical form but not any larger than an average size of a book. The block of ice can be thrown while adjusting the trajectory of the wind to reach a target accurately.

Side note: His late mother’s birth aspect is Water.

Staff of the Oulieus Family

Elvaari generally does not need a tool, but in Hanzekihel’s case, this staff is very much needed. The Staff of the Oulieus Family is a family heirloom. The staff is usually hand down when the next in line reaches 80 years old. It can change its appearance based on the user/owner. When the Staff was once again awakened by and it took form of the crescent moon because the day he was born was on a waning crescent moon.

Valuables

Silver-winged Brooch

A brooch that he often wears. If not seen, it is probably stored in his pocket or anywhere close. The brooch was found at the location of his parents’ death and was actually the only thing found. Vriella had been keeping it safe for the longest time and only handed it to him after he decided to head out to Eversun. The brooch has a surprise in it, it actually holds a photo of the family and had been there even before the tragedy.

Secret Candy Stash

A rumour has it that he keeps a hidden stash filled with candies, but no one could ever guess where. If one were to guess, it’s probably in his hood or sleeves! It is filled with hard candies for whenever he needs a distraction and a bit of sugar.

  • Voice claim: Matsuoka Yoshitsugu (specifically Sytry Cartwright from devils and realist or Xiao from Genshin Impact.)
  • He is originally Hanzekihel Luscha before he takes after the Oulieus name.
  • He does not like it if you call him Kihel unless if you’re someone he considers as family. Or important.
  • The news about his parents’ death came on his eighth birthday. It was a rainy morning.
  • His parents were also part of the Guild. Seozarr was in the WD and Lisadielle was part of the EVD.
  • He doesn’t actually hate you, he prefers not to be close with anyone because he’s scared of losing anymore loved ones. It’s not going that well. He got attached to a few and they’re gone now! :)
  • Alcohol tolerance: Zero. If you make him drink, be prepared to take responsibilities of whatever happens after.
  • He may act childlike when he turns into a child and you can use that against him.
