Trade Division

The Trade Division is one of the ten major divisions of the Adventurers' Guild. The written shorthand version is "TD." Its uniform armband is a teal color, and the signature gemstone embedded into the star embroidery is a jade.

Overview

In Eversun City, the Trade Division handles all branches of anything relating to commerce and currency. This includes printing and circulating Gold, the common currency used throughout Eversun and Castrella. Trade Division employees work tirelessly to upkeep the flow of trade not only in Eversun, but to other villages and cities as well.

Responsibilities

The Trade Division handles quite a lot of behind-the-scenes orchestration when it comes to material goods and marketing. This includes ensuring all items for sale in any market are inspected and graded, are being sold at a reasonable value, and are not counterfeit. Imports and exports are monitored in the same vein of intricacy, only allowing goods in and out once provided a seal of approval by a Trade employee.

All shops in Eversun require a certificate on display announcing their license to buy and sell goods. If a shop owner is caught without a license, it could result in a seize of property or worse. This includes banks.

Mail services are included in the Trade Division, whether it to be a resident within the walls of Eversun or outside, the couriers of the Trade Division are typically partnered with the Wayfarers' Division to ensure safe travels.

All port towns are monitored by their own Trade Division, and are announced so by an emblem of the Guild on their ships and banners.

Known Subdivisions

Unified Postal Service (UPS)

All couriers, including wagoneers and simple mailmen, are categorized under the UPS. These employees are responsible for transporting goods between point A and point B. The UPS also has higher individuals who are officebound that write out trade routes and ensure they are safe-going for their couriers. If they are not safe, they typically partner with the Wayfarers' Division to keep these routes secure.

Marketeer's Group

A specialized group of employees specializing in ensuring all shops in Eversun City are current on their licenses. If you own a shop, you may be quite friendly with your assigned Marketeer representative, or you may absolutely despise them. Nonetheless, they are very orderly in their job, and will leave no stone unturned when making sure you're following the rules. The Marketeer's Group is responsible for updating the Trade Glossary with every single shop notated by region.

Treasury

A subdivision found in every single municipality on Castrella. It is in charge of distributing funds, managing business loans, and organizing charities. Treasury works very closely with the Civil Affairs Division to unsure the flow of money is handled well and, well, doesn't get corrupted in any way. Hopefully.
