Ivan is a travelling Polar Greater Kindred merchant from The Coldstone Winery, an alcohol beverage business hailing from Umito. He travels across Castrella with his family, a group of ragtag siblings. They are currently stationed in EverSun City. A very large and quiet individual who seems intimidating at first glance.

Appearance

A tall and bulky Polar Bear Greater Kindred. He has bear paws, bear-like feet that end with claws and a pair of fluffy ears. His body is covered with tan-grey fur from head to toe, save for his face and neck. He has tan-grey hair that covers half his face and a white clip of hair to hugs the left side of his face. He has red eyes with dark grey sclera, thick eyebrows and shark-teeth. Underneathe the hair over his face is a large scar that cascades down from his forehead and his right eye that remains motionless.

He always wears a brown fluffy scarf around his neak that when wrap around will end with bear paw designs. He wears fisherman's overalls underneath a large yellow puffer coat that's accented by black fur.

Personality

Ivan is a very quiet individual who isn't shy towards people, rather he doesn't want to communicate. People often view him as cold and unresponsive but once they get past his language barrier they would come to realise he is someone who is very caring towards those he cares for and is an overall good conversational partner. However, when he gets agitated he becomes very pushy and assertive.

Biography

When he was young Ivan rode on his father's fishing boat along with his siblings, a younger brother and sister. The Aisuvans hailed from a small fishing business based in Murmillion. It was a normal thing they would do together as a family, accompany their father on his fishing trips, despite the cursed waters they still managed to get by. Ivan adored his siblings, and would often teach them the different fish species as they cuddled together under a blanket during those cold nights. He didn't have to have become a famous explorer, seek trill across the land or become successful. He was happy where he was, this was his world, his siblings were his world.

On a fateful day under the guise of any other, Ivan lost those two who he held dear. There were no signs leading to the upcoming storm, it was clear days and sunshines when they departed out ot sea. The waves picked up and thunder roared. Ivan had held onto his siblings for dear life as his father did everything to keep the boat steady. All he could remember were the sounds of their cries and the waves as they grew rowdier, cargo boxes were tumbling and flying off the boat and one just happened to fly right towards Ivan, hitting him in the head. His vision became blurry and he could feel liquid pooring down his face. The last thing he would ever hear was his siblings crying out for his name, followed by screams of terror.

When he came to, he was laying in a clinic bed, the right side of his face bandaged. He was wondering if everything was a dream, but his impaired vision and battered body said otherwise. Rather than being concerned about his own condition, he ran out the room, calling out to his siblings, to his father. Only one responded. His father and mother were sitting together on a bench, tears in his mother's eyes unable to look at Ivan. His father had to break to him to gut-wrenching news, that they couldn't find his siblings on the boat when they docked. They searched everywhere for them near the coastline, nothing. The news hit Ivan harder than the box that knocked him unconcious.

“It was my fault... they're gone... and it was all my fault...”

It was his fault that his siblings were missing, he immediately ran towards the ocean to find only to be stopped by the people around him. Kicking and screaming as the ocean's view grew further away.

Till this day Ivan carries the burden of the fate that befell upon his siblings, he has lost most of his will to speak, mostly speaking in his mind rather than his voice. He holds onto that hope that he will find his siblings again, no matter how long it takes. As he grew older, he left his parents to start his own business, they had long accepted that their children were gone but Ivan didn't. This whole business ploy was to search for his siblings on his own. He would travel from nation to nation, eventually ending up in Umito where he would meet Oracle and Imichi.

These two were lost individuals, each suffering from their own loses, just like Ivan did. Unlike them, he had a family to return to. He gave them a place to belong to again, but selfishly he might have wanted to fill that void in his heart. Together they covered each other's weaknesses and comforted each other through their hardest times. It was due to their help that he started speaking again.

Today, the three siblings travel around Castrella, for Oracle and Imichi it was for business, for Ivan it was a mission.

Abilties

Ice Skin

Ivan can freeze the water vapour in his surroundings to create a regenerating ice shell on his fur. He can use this barrier for offences by covering his paws and feet with these hard ice layers to produce deadly impact. This barrier is more potent when his fur is wet, the shell regenerates fast, has a thicker layer and can produce spikes.

Mist Message

He can produce mist from his mouth, this can be used to cover and an area with fog, obscuring enemy vision. He can also use this ability to be able to create messages or picture.

Oracle Aisuvan

His younger sibling he took in after they were found stranded on Umito's shoreline. Their relationship started off rocky, Oracle detested land-dwellers, making them dislike Ivan from the start. It took weeks of convincing for Oracle to finally let their guard down around Ivan. Now their relationship is built on a strong trust and dependence.

Imichi Aisuvan

His younger sister that he and Oracle took in after she was found strayed from her pod. She had no memory of who she was or where she came from but she took a shine to Ivan and Oracle at first sight, instinctively calling them mum and dad in the beginning, which they immediately corrected. Ivan gave her the name Imichi, named after his lost sister. Was it selfish of him, probably but it was the only name he could think of at the time, they were so similar. Currently, they are sparring partners who are both learning from each other to control their beastly strength.

Ari Lancaster

The inspector from the Trade Division who came down to Coldstone for a product inspection. Ivan finds him to be easy to talk to and not someone who immediately judges him based on his lack of speaking skills. It was not long after Ivan met Ari that the man showed to him his true colors, though he doesn't mind in the slightest. He had since tend grown a slight attachment to Ari, he was also the one who [STATIC NOISES]

Ruairi Cromwell

A customer who came to Coldstone for a drink when Ivan was alone to tend to the stall. They both bonded over similar loses on their first meeting. Ivan is very affectinate and protective towards Ruairi, wanting to support the other through his troubles and endeavours. And yes they have [STATIC NOISE]

Trivia

- He gave Imichi her name, after she had lost her memory, he named her Imichi after his younger sister

- He struggles to control his strength, often breaking things or hurting people when he doesn't mean to

- He struggles to speak out his mind often using his ice aether to form the sentences in his mind. However, if he is comfortable enough around you he can speak more easily.

- His speech pattern consists of huffs and gruffs when he's not in a conversational mood

- He is very overprotective of those he cares for, due to his trauma of losing his siblings
