While Korin intended to exploit the unassuming researcher for information to relay to Mirage, eventually the visits became a dedicated, needed routine for upwards of three years. After making the difficult decision to dismiss himself from the most important celebration of the year for the Valhalla Project to pay him a worried visit, their oath to one another sealed their future of dependency and affection under lock and key. For as long as he can, he will carry this declaration of his feelings through everything and more; perhaps he will see how it will begin change him for the better. It’s thanks to his partner that he’s learned to laugh and smile once more past all of the struggles since his childhood. After a long week of work, he uses that same subtle smile to greet him every Ariaday afternoon, returning home to the presence he needs most of all.
