	The Environmental Division researches almost everything about the land of Castrella. Ecological systems, environmental preservation, plant and monster biology, you name it. If it's a natural item forged on the surface of Castrella, the Environmental Division likely has records of it. There's a wide array of job positions and responsibilities handled by the EVD, and it would be no surprise to anyone to say it is one of the larger divisions on the roster. Employees of the EVD are typically the most passionate about their studies, rivaled only by the Creative Commons Division. Castrella and its organic structure is ever-growing and teeming with organisms and land structures, thus the records within the EVD are forever expanding. There is a lot to document when it comes to the planet and its natural composition, so even though the EVD employees are busy, they will usually greet people with a smile considering how excited they are to talk about their specialization. 	= ~~What does~~ the ~~Environmental Division~~ do? =		Since the roles of the Environmental Division are so specialized and unique, a lot of responsibilities fall underneath this division's umbrella. Not only do they study the land and environments all around Castrella, but they are also the main point of contact for farmers to request land permits and crop starters. Farmers require a special license received through the Guild, but it doesn't require any academy courses. Just a simple application process. Farmland in areas that are not Guild-affiliated (lacking an Outpost) do not require licenses.

			Researchers of the EVD are also in charge of forecasting the weather and posting bulletins on the weekly weather predictions. There are multiple ways to predict the weather and, of course, they aren't always 100% accurate.

			The EVD is in charge of the Eversun Nature Reserve located around the Hearth main campus. This includes botanical gardens, zoo exhibits, an underground aquarium, and many other interactive learning opportunities for the public to partake in. While there is an entire subdivision dedicated to running the reserve, they accept volunteers from all walks of life to assist in backstage planning, including aspiring students of the Education Division Academy who plan on working in the EVD.

			The subdivision in charge of the Eversun Nature Reserve. These employees work full-time in their specialty tending to an exhibit either hosted by themselves or assisting another group of experts on another exhibit. This also includes behind-the-scenes acts such as procuring food for animals on the reserve, lecturers who host pop-up lessons for the visitors, or planning out mobile exhibits that visit other territories or even lecture halls in the academy to further educate the masses. Marine biologists will work in the aquarium, botany fanatics will work in the botanical gardens, and animal ecologists will work in the zoos. There's always a lot to do in Preservation, and preserve you shall.

			Botanists and arborists make their home in this subdivision. Their responsibilities include studying plant biology and documenting their habitats, dissecting their ways of life, and documenting how they affect their environments. The Arboreta owns a various amount of greenhouse systems within the Hearth that are not open to the public in order to further test the capabilities of plants in a controlled environment. They are also no stranger to field work.

			=== The Artefacta ===
			Employees working under the Artefacta are almost mini-archivists in a way. Researching the history of extinct plants and animals is something they take a lot of pride in, and are the main spearheads to open museums and preserve fossils. There are no intentions on reviving extinct species that are fossilized, but they do intend on creating one-to-one visual displays on how they could've appeared. It is also within their duties to assist the other subdivisions on what to look out for when it comes to endangered species and how to protect them.

Monster ecologists are wrangled into this subdivision, as their studies typically involve how monsters survive in their environments. This also includes aetherological studies and impacts on environments, as every living being within an environment harbors an aspect.
