Miyu Saneyoshi is a freshly-joined member of the Civil Affairs Division. As a crime scene investigator, it's her job to lead the other officers into the right direction by gathering clues for them, and piecing things together. As a detective in her own right, it's her job to make sure the case doesn't run cold. Just don't get scared when she tells you she can see and communicate with ghosts!

== Personality ==
Naive, a little clumsy, but she's otherwise assertive and is able to lock in when needed... most of the time. Kinda short tempered? It's more of a "stop wasting my time" or "this case/these clues are getting me nowhere" type of short temper. Frustration, yes. Her tendency to get easily emotionally moved by things sometimes gets in the way of her line of work.

She can tune out the world around her whenever she gets deep in thought, she gets ''really'' deep in thought. Her hearing becomes noticeably muffled, while the people and the world around her become nothing but silhouettes to her. According to her ''grandfather'' (a carpenter who apparently slayed a giant boar back in his prime), this is a curse brought upon her due to her overthinking tendencies, a good poke, or anything that can easily call her back to reality, can ground her back, but she won't appreciate being distracted like that. Miyu has gone on record saying that this has helped her considerabaly when thinking about a case.

Hachi is Miyu's familiar, bird-like in shape, he works in tandem with Miyu to scout out the area and notify her of anything suspicious, he tends to be highly suspicious of people and tends to peck people, and his feathers ruffle because of just about anything.

=== The Third Eye of Saneyoshi (Still tentative!) ===
This is a boon that has been passed down generationally among the youth of the Saneyoshi family, even if siblings were to be born, only one bearer of this ability can exist amongst those born for the next generation. According to family tradition, the bearer of this ability can, among other things, “perceive unclouded truths." However, no one has been able to confirm that. And whoever could had already died of age. Oops.

* Miyu is this generation's bearer of the ability, not a biological eye by any means, the Third Eye grants her a sixth sense of sorts, granting her, for instance… the ability to react to certain things ahead of time and react accordingly. This… gets in the way of things, believe it or not. It also spikes up her awareness, which… often brings more problems than solutions, she's been barred from certain fair activities for this very reason!

* The awakening to this power wasn't exactly the most pleasureable either— mental note; have some headache relief in hand. As the final kicker, she's able to ''see and commune with ghosts''. There's a reason she kindly skips the graveyard visits. Believe it or not, communing with the dearly departed has served useful in a few unorthodox cases that would've otherwise gone cold.
== Backstory ==
Miyu Saneyoshi is a very recent recruit in Civil Affairs, Miyu joins the CAD working as a simple detective, most of the time she's sent to watch over crime scenes, although she ends up snooping in and investigating on her own often. She got into detective work because of the countless mystery books she's spent a good part of her life reading, even during academy hours. CAD had doubts of her becoming an Enforcer this early into her carreer in the division, so she was put into crime scene investigation apart from her detective work. Personally, she considers herself a detective that dabbles more into the arcane.

* While her two other sisters took the paths of adventuring and archiving, Miyu herself desired to become a great detective, believing that the world has many wrongs and mysteries that are often left without answer. Considering her personality and overthinking habits however, her sisters partially dismissed her, saying that she'd have better chances as anything other than a detective, a profession that requires a good amount of intuition. Once she gets good enough at her job, she wishes to open up a detective agency. She takes it up to herself to prove them wrong.

* She is the wielder of a hierloom weapon (shape and form TBA) that has been passed down through the sons and daughters of the Saneyoshi family for generations, it's a weapon she does not use a lot due to its importance, but for some reason unknown to her, she's able to wield it as if she had years of practice put into it. …For the most part. Certain techniques seem to be naturally lost to her.

* She was almost a Wayfarer, once. She didn't go through with it because, and in her words, "We have plenty of wayfarers already, don't we?"
* In her quarters lies a corkboard used to work on whatever case she's fixating on at the moment, string and all.
* Her favorite animal is the cluckertoo, and she wants to keep one, however, she worries that she wouldn't be able to properly look after it. Hers would be named Eureka.
* Not a big fan of pranks and other amusing effects, she can't discern joke from actual intent...
* Her go-to breakfast dish is french toast, sometimes she settles for just toast if she's late to work.
* She has been barred from several "intuition" based games at community events. She does this to herself because otherwise it wouldn't be fun. She gets deep into thought and, before you know it, she lands the guess first try.
* When someone tells her not to snoop in on things, her response is usually "I'm a detective, it's MY job to 'snoop in' on things that 'don't concern me'."
* Sometimes loses sleep because of the Third Eye of Saneyoshi, sometimes this leads her to follow a case late at night...
* A ghost from the family seems to be with her at every given moment. She has a pretty lighthearted relationship with it, but wishes to focus on her job at every given time. This ghost was the first thing she saw after coming to from her awakening to the Third Eye of Saneyoshi.

Turns out he has a thick head! Surviving this he had the revelation to devote his entire life to dragons, learning the language and writing and sometimes he even throws some words into his sentences cause he's So Cool™. Lately the tablets have been giving strange tales and signals in his translations... He must tell ''everyone'' about this. No matter where or how he ''will'' spread his gospel.

But she is just as curious and naïve as the few alumni that are under her tutelage. Despite working for a year, she considers herself pretty new to the environment and as such has some trouble opening up to others. The rumours of disappeared people and overall current air of ASD doesn't help her case; though it could also be the feelings brought up by being a small town girl from afar living in a city as big as Eversun, just another fish in a bigger pond. Despite this, she's still interested in knowing her coworkers better, and cherishes what company she has during her class hours.

			Because of her previous experiences with seeing such firsthand, Yue is prone to being prejudicial around people with Chaotic Elements (especially Whimsy), and will try to distance herself from them at best, and make more blatant attempts to push them away at worst.

			After working, Iris is more approachable, and can sometimes be found at the training halls brushing up on her techniques. She likes to spar with her alumni and coworkers whenever the opportunity arrives, and while she's happy to grab a weapon and have at it, leaving them behind and going at it barehanded is her way to go.

Her clan was composed of nocturnal people who believed that going out on a full moon allowed them to perform activities under the watchful eye of the moon deity. Some even believed that Silverpool was the ''closest'' way to get in touch in her, going as far as saying they could confess any grievances to her. The latter part isn't too far from the common superstitions of Silverpool's water and memories of the self. However, her community would soon languish and fall at the hands of an incident involving a chaotic element, encroaching the settlement she once resided in a matter of suns. Iris' alignment to the darkness is more personal, having been a part of a group of adepts worshiping the moon deity. Her clan was composed of nocturnal people who believed that going out on a full moon allowed them to perform activities under the watchful eye of the moon deity. Some even believed that Silverpool was the ''closest'' way to get in touch in her, going as far as saying they could confess any grievances to her. The latter part isn't too far from the common superstitions of Silverpool's water and memories of the self. However, her community would soon languish and fall at the hands of an incident involving a chaotic element, encroaching the settlement she once resided in a matter of suns. The settlement is already bubbled in today's time, but when the events happened it startled young Janus enough to run far away from the others. By the time she came back, the area was beyond recognition. If she had noticed any sooner, she could've spared her people of such fate... But it was too late. Janus had realized she's become the last of her kind. Unable to keep grieving over the loss of her family and many others, she cried to the divinity, pleading for forgiveness over the tragedy that befell her. Pleading to forget, for she couldn't bear another night with the pain in her heart.

She wandered through the forest alone, reflecting on the past, though not dwelling on them as much as she did before. Eventually, she comes across a small town; teeming with people, it was larger than the place she once called home, and it was just as lively as it was unknown to her. It was stranger territory, but it's not like there was any other place to stay in from here. She spent the days resting beneath a canopy set on the side of a shop, only really engaged with the residents during the night, as she's had her nocturnal lifestyle ingrained by the customs of her people. Janus was taken in by an Elvaari woman who runs a clock shop. Fascinated by how more involved the inner workings of the clocks look and behave, she gained an interest for small mechanics and tinkering as she grew up.

She travels to [[Eversun City|Eversun]] to follow the developments of [[Magitech]] more closely, and joins the guild as an [[Arcane Sciences Division|ASD]] researcher. After her home and her people perished at the hands of a Whimsy incident, she was taken in by an Elvaari from a nearby town, and traveled all the way to [[Eversun City|Eversun]] to follow the developments of [[Magitech]] in the city later on. 	I'~~ll write something here!~~		With his ticket secured for the 200th Grand Gala, Benny made sure he attended, spending most of his time in the main ballroom, but occasionally visiting the cafeteria and the red carpet hall. He was present for Megumi Nen's announcement, and while he cheered publicly, his deep disdain for Aether dampened his mood afterwards. This further conflicted him when Mirage disrupted the Gala, swallowing his dread to help out the far more panicked people around him, begrudgingly assisting Astrophel Argentum in the training grounds for some time.

			When Monica and Nelly Carthwright assemble a dive team into the Heart of Nail, Benny steps up to join. In the first trial, Benny is the first to take action, picking up the Light Stone to place into Lumen's statue alongside Ari Lancaster, Leo Eridanus, Monica Holst, and Pendra. He follows Leo's lead with a smile, and delights in the young Pendra's enthusiasm. The latter two trials go relatively smoothly for him, taking a backseat but continuing to support and encourage others along the way.

			Upon seeing Quill in the Heart of the Nail, Benny finds himself unable to act, only watching as his daughter interrogates and defends Mirage due to his internal conflict. As soon as danger becomes present though, both in Quill's mist and through Sylvana Cadoret bringing the beast from the third trial into the room, he calls for the party to escape.

			Lumenaster Valoan and Lady Radialy appear on the scene and save the party, but Mirage manages to get away with their spoils. Once back on the surface, Benny immediately checks on Aisling and Leo, with Benny giving his account of events. Once the party is excused, Benny makes an effort to check on the training grounds before heading home.

	~~Something DID happen here~~		Against their better judgement, Mauriell decided to attend the 200th Grand Gala even with their worsening condition. Most of his time was spent in between the main ballroom and the quieter castle halls whenever he was overwhelmed. She was present for Megumi Nen's announcement, being embarrassed when she is shouted out as part of the Arcane Sciences by Rin Kazashi, and reassured a fretful Leo, worried of impending danger. On one of their trips to the castle halls, their Whimsy becomes overwhelming and they shrink into a corner, just barely able to make out Quill's speech amidst the cacophony and write a note for themselves to go to the depths.

			When Monica and Nelly Carthwright assemble a dive team into the Heart of Nail, Mauriell insists upon joining. Through the first two trial rooms though, his condition struggles to recover from being so heightened earlier in the night, but Monica offers help to him, which silently and slowly steadies it. In the third trial, Lady Radialy's darkness does not faze her, bumping into Monica and helping heal her when she is wounded by the beast. As Hanzekihel conjures of field of wind to break through the mist, Mauriell provides backup with their bubbles, healing both him and Ari Lancaster, and further assisting the both of them as the party makes their way to the next room.

			Upon seeing Quill in the Heart of the Nail, Mauriell immediately puts his full trust in her, allowing Quill to consume some of his Whimsy aether and temporarily clear his mind, attempting to reassure a nearby River as other party members ask questions and when Quill is revealed as Yulia Lanford, Mauriell's admiration for her only increases. When Hanzekihel begins to antagonize Quill, Mauriell steps in to defend her, only to have her heart shattered upon Hanzekihel revealing his work in the background with so many of their colleagues that she was simply left out of. While a weakened Monica calls for Mauriell after this, it's uncertain if they hear her. As tension increases, Mauriell uses his Whimsy to put Hanzekihel to sleep, and protects Mirage with bubbles when Sylvana Cadoret brings the beast from the third trial into the room.

			Lumenaster Valoan and Lady Radialy appear on the scene and save the party, but Mirage manages to get away with their spoils. Once back on the surface, the two discuss with the party, with Mauriell only beginning to pipe up when the topic of magic and Yulia is brought up, making her alignment in favor of her very known. However, when Lady Radialy asks Mauriell if some of their Aether was taken by her, her words cut deep, accusing Mauriell of giving up on themself, when Mauriell felt they had done anything but. Once the party is excused, Mauriell runs home in tears.

 In Benny's youth, he was quite the cheerful Wayfarer within the Guild, having joined it rather quickly once he was 18, and jumping to take any job that he could find, always traveling wherever and whenever he could. In the year 1206, he managed to meet someone on one of his quests, resulting in the birth of his daughter, Aisling, the following year. This someone stayed at their home, with Benny returning to Eversun City alone to raise his new child, with Benny deciding to transfer over to the Education Division a few years later to teach and inspire young adventurers with his endless spirit, knowledge, and experience.
